Help - where does this wire go or plug into?

I was installing a new back bumper on my 4th Gen Tacoma and took the harness off the back of old bumper now I can't figure out where this wire goes or plugs into anybody have any ideas. I've looked all over for where it hooked up and can't figure it out. Sensors are all plugged in then license plate light so can't see anything. Then the thing im holding is the tailgate sensor which is plugged in too.

Wiring harnesses always have extra plugs hanging off. If everything works, just tape it to the harness. You probably didn't notice it during disassembly.

One of the three pigtail leads that came with the truck in a ziploc with instructions, is to use one of the AUX switches and the pigtail to "live up" that rear plug you found. It contains the pinout at the rear as well. That rear circuit doesn't carry power natively.

In your Owners Manual, those are basically covered on pages 489 through 491.
