I just found out today that my dash cam stops recording if I’m on a phone call through the truck system. I was following a driver weaving from shoulder to shoulder and I called 911 and followed the vehicle while I talked to them. I was on the call for about five minutes Recording the person driving extremely erratically. Unfortunately he took an exit before highway patrol would show up and I lost him at a red light. When I went back to look at the videos that my camera had recorded, I realized it stopped when I made the phone call and did not restart until after I hung up. Why would the camera stop? Doesn’t seem like I would be using any resources the camera would use.
