We’ve been working on a front license plate mounting solution for the 2024–2026 Tacoma, and before we simply tell everyone what we think is great about it, we’d rather hear what actual Tacoma owners think.
For owners who live in an area that requires a front plate, the usual options can involve drilling into the truck, using a basic fixed bracket, or mounting the plate somewhere that may interfere with the clean look—or potentially with equipment at the front of the truck.
Our goal was to create a more practical alternative.
What We Tried to Solve
The new mount is designed around four main needs:
1. A proper front-mounted plate location
It gives Tacoma owners a dedicated place to install a standard U.S. license plate at the front of the truck, particularly for those who need to display one under their local requirements.
2. Quick installation and removal
The center-knob design allows the bracket to be installed or removed quickly, without turning a simple license plate into a Saturday afternoon project.
It also uses a no-drill mounting design, so there is no need to cut, drill, or permanently modify the factory grille.
3. A lockable anti-theft design
Quick-release products are convenient, but convenience should not mean that anyone walking by can remove them just as easily.
Once locked, the center knob cannot be turned normally, helping prevent the bracket and plate from being removed without authorization.
4. No interference with the radar sensor
The mounting position was designed to keep the license plate clear of the Tacoma’s radar sensor area, so the bracket does not trade one problem for another.
The housing is made from aluminum for weather resistance and long-term outdoor use.
