I just bought a 2025 Trd Offroad a week ago. After moving all my stuff over from my old truck I kept hearing a rattle on front passenger side when going over bumps and on rough roads. It sounded like it was coming from the glove box area or right side upper dash. It drove me crazy for a few days, almost called the dealer to bock it in. Today I decided to empty my stuff from every compartment one by one. After I removed my sunglasses from the upper middle holder the rattle stopped immediately. It was the metal frame glasses bouncing in the hard plastic compartment. The noise travels in weird ways, it sounded like coming from the passenger side. The truck has no rattles at all now. It may help others having the same issue.

I’ve noticed there’s a lot of little rattles in these 4G tacos, guessing due to all the plastics. I had the sunglasses one, there’s the rear seatbelt latches and plastic cases I stored behind the seats (rearranged to keep anything that might rattle under the seats since it’s lined), the safety flare I keep in the secret cubby on the end of the dash, and anything hard that might bounce around in the door pockets. Surprisingly, I never had as many rattles in my 3G 4Runner. Oh well, they don’t make em like they used to.

Had problems with sunglasses rattle. Bought I piece of felt at hobbie store. Got black but you choose. Cut to fit rear side of holder. Careful when applying. Came out great for $.99. Can’t believe Toyota would cheap out on putting liner in there. Other vehicles I’ve had have had it fully lined.
