I ordered a set of the Trumgeta ones from Amazon. They looked great but the front end started lifting when I had a cargo bag between the rails. Needs a metal plate or additional stiffening inside the side rails.

For any concerns about quality and utility, at this point Yakima is shipping Landing Pads for 4th gen Tacoma so one can use SkyLine towers and their 4 families of crossbars. That's also quick release. If you go that route know the instructions have a bar spread for compatibility with other Yakima products, but you can use the widest of the threaded mounts in roof for maximum bar spread.

I know price is a whole other league compared to cheap stuff made of chinesium but so is the product. It is solid, tested by the manufacturer, proven, and gets you a huge range of capability by comparison.

These pics are illustrating on and off the cab, and my bars are 70 inch Core type.

New update... I just pulled this rack off of my truck and ALL the bolts were rusted. So please check your bolts if you have this rack.

Good to know. It is too early to tell, but in my prep for the new Yakima stuff I sold and got rid of a bunch of old stuff and it seemed they still use same high grade fasteners, and the Landing Pad kits have the right sealant and instructions. Going from their old school to current stuff really seamed like they're still primo stuff.

I think the only knocks against them could be price, and they don't have the overlander look I know some want.
