I installed a RC trifold flipup bed cover and it looks great but is leaking in water during driving in the rain. Has anyone know of minor mod’s or tricks to make it more water tight?

I did not install the foam seal at the top of the bed because it wasn’t done in the videos I watched. Maybe that’s what the problem is?

I installed the foam seal and mine leaks as well. I hadn't really looked into the source of the leak, but I have some plastic totes back there and they will have water in them at times. I have a bed extender and the totes are between the (folded) extender and the tailgate so water is coming in near the rear somewhere. I'd guess the crease in the first fold but I'm not sure.

When I installed my RC cover I looked up through the seam from inside the bed and saw daylight...I knew that the "optional" foam seal was mandatory. I have not driven it in any hard rain yet but day to day use has proven that the seal is holding.

That's the way to do it. Look for daylight coming through from the inside. I find mine only leaks when water is splashed sideways from other cars on highways.
