SIM Card Questions

Does anyone know if the cellular service runs off a standard SIM card? If so, does anyone know where it is located? Could you theoretically swap it for your own providers SIM card without having to pay for the AT&T service?

Not sure if it changed in the gen4 but for my gen3 I had researched this and there was no way to get anything other than AT&T. Hopefully they changed it for gen4 but I won't be shocked if not because I'll bet they get some kickback from AT&T.
