Question for ya’ll…I’ve scoured the interwebs and forums and can’t find a reliable answer. 2026 with the 14” JBL infotainment system. I simply want to add an external, aftermarket magnetic Sirius/XM antennae (NGVA3). It seems like it was pretty straightforward in the 3rd gen. I removed the infotainment system but cannot tell which plug/port hosts the satellite radio antennae feed from the sharkfin? I run a roof top tent half the year and would prefer the extra antennae that I can mount on the dash/hood/wherever. Cell signals are spotty or nonexistent where I recreate so the Sirius/XM app and CarPlay are not a reliable option. Nor am I interested in rerouting or rewiring the factory sharkfin. See the image below of the back of the system. Any ideas which plug is which? Thanks in advance!

Quick update...I was able to confirm that the black coaxial-looking cable at the top left of the image does in fact host the satellite radio signal. I disconnected it, reinstalled the system, and all satellite radio signal was gone. The AM/FM still worked, and it appeared the GPS navigation still worked. The problem I'm facing now is the black connector is considerably smaller than the curry-colored fakra style connectors you can get from Amazon. I had purchased one of those fakra style connectors that terminated in an SMB port...but the curry-colored plastic connector is much to large.

Just need to find the appropriate connector and I think we can make it work with an external magnetic antennae.

After more digging today, I'm not sure those adapters from Cruchfield will work. I did find this however, and it looks promising. But with the "no return" policy I'm probably going to pass.

It DID give me and idea to try and use a dremel tool and cutoff blade to carefully remove the plastic housing from the fakra cable I already have and expose the metal plug portion...which might just fit. I'll update if I get around to it tomorrow.

Disregard my idea above. Sounds like the fakra "guts", even though they look similar, will not mate with the HFC-IV socket and could possibly even damage or break the pin connection rendering the entire unit dysfunctional. Soooo...I give up and will be using CarPlay and riding quietly if I'm out of cell service.
