I've been looking at getting an @Softopper topper for my Taco, but have a question around the installation and figured I'd ask here so others with the same question can find the answer.
The install video suggests that you need to use either velcro strips or snap screws to secure the front window inside the bed on their example truck with no front bed rail. Is this still required with a 26 Tacoma that has the rail at the front of the bed? Is there a bracket with snaps I could mount into the rail instead of having to drill into my truck bed? The idea of drilling holes (small though they are) into my brand new truck is something I just really do not want to do at present.
The velcro is a non-starter for me as I have the factory spray in bed liner that is textured in such a way that I don't think it would adhere particularly well.
Any other creative ways to not have to drill into the bed? Or anyone who's handy at metal fabbing want to make a bracket? I'd buy some.
