Noticed something very interesting today when I was at an atm drive thru I overshot a bit and had to back up, the truck was in hybrid mode and I noticed that the truck suspension lowered the truck, I then dropped it in drive and the suspension raised up. Is what I’m seeing the torque of the hybrid motor rotating the tires while the brakes are on and pulling the suspension down? very strange

Yeah that’s actually pretty normal. What you’re likely seeing is drivetrain torque reaction/loading the suspension, especially with the instant torque from the hybrid motor.
In reverse with your foot on the brake, the motor applies a little torque and the suspension can squat or shift slightly as the driveline loads up. Then when you drop it into drive, the torque direction changes and the truck rises back. Hybrids make it more noticeable because the electric motor applies torque so smoothly and immediately compared to a gas engine idle.
