Hello,

Have had this SR ‘24 Tacoma for just over 7 months now, little under 7k miles. Noticed something a little strange as there is a white tube leaking something (im assuming its the AC because its clear and no odor). However, theres this like clicking and clanging noise running around the bottom of the truck on both sides. Might be hard to hear in the video, but anything helps. Tried looking online got a few different answers so if anyone could help that’d be great. Just got an oil change last week too if that helps with any information.
Thanks.

I don't know what the clicking is, but that's water from condensation from your AC. Normal.

Yes thank you. I only hear it after I idle it and turn off the truck it makes that clanging noise. Sounds like metal but unsure if something is like loose or something like that.

I think you're hearing heat shields etc metal contracting after the engine was running (hot). My Tacoma and WRX hatchback do the same thing. Usually on turbo vehicles the downpipe, turbo and sometimes cats are covered with heatshields and they get real hot, and then contract, so you get popping/clanging sounds for a while when you turn it off.

Same sound as a steam/gas heater when you turn it off and the whole thing pops and clangs as it cools down.

Do you think I should get it looked at and fixed? Or is it not damaging? @izzy

If it's anything like this video (not my video):

It's normal. My Tacoma makes those same sounds if you shut it off once its up to temp. Even more so after a long freeway drive. Turbos get hot, gotta have a lot of heat shields. Those also get hot and then cool off. My Subaru also makes exactly that same sound.

No problem.

Turbos get up to 1000F-1500F when driving, with 1500F probably closer to the upper end (towing uphill or something) so gotta have the heat shields.
