I tried searching but can’t seem to find a straight answer.
after watching few shorts on how to adjust the isodynamic seats in trd pros, I came across one that says the caps for the stem valve are not supposed to come off if the levers are in the locked position.
well, foolish of me I didnt watch the clip before messing with my isodynamic seats. My caps actually came off while the levers were in the locked position. I am not sure how the “locked levers” stop the caps from rotating off but if that is indeed true I can only imagine the reason for that is because you are not supposed to pressurize/depressurize the shocks while the shocks are in locked position. Therefore you need to put the levers in unlocked position before messing with the shock pressure. Do you guys think that is valid?
the reason why I ask is because I did completely depressurize and pressurize the seats according to my weight while the shocks were in locked position. I am not sure doing that damaged the shocks in the seats but I did notice that as I rotated off the cap of the air pump after pressurizing the shocks the the shock depressurized on its own, and the only way to stop it from doing that is by rotating the pump cap off quickly from the stem valve and the pressure would stay (I would still lose around 5-10 psi while doing so).
