Just a couple of weeks into my build and couldn't be happier so far. Lift and tires installed and looking mean!
Building this as a daily driver with forest service roads and ski hills on weekends.
I'm also planning to pass this onto my son or daughter for their 16th birthday. Sully is 2 right now and has been out on the trails already (pre-lift). His 4 year old sister might snatch it from him though, we'll see!
Build Specs:
- TRD OR Premium
- Peak Suspension spacer lift
- 315/70 R17 KO3s
- Black Rhino Taleo 17"
- Greenlane OR axle dump exhaust
- Plastidip badges and remove the TRD OR sticker.
Next up:
- BakFlip MX4 tonneau
- waiting for another taillight option than alpharex (Morimoto?)
- Fox 2.5 or Bilstein 8112 once the funds allow
First question will be about ride quality on the spacer lift and 35" load F tires. Out of the shop, the tires were pumped to 40 psi, it was a bumpy ride home. Ran a simple chalk test and confirmed they were way overinflated. Running daily driving now at 28F/26R psi cold which chalked out perfectly. Ride quality now is as good or better than stock, which is tolerable but not the plush trophy truck ride I'll be looking for in the future.
Mileage seems to be about 1 L/100 km penalty. So far 12.8 to 13.7 but haven't run them long enough to say for sure if that's fair.
Will be out on the trails tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
