When shopping for a set of side steps or sliders for the 4G Tacoma, you usually get hit with a wall of specs, but every design seems to prioritize something different.
If you had to pick the single most critical factor for your build, which one matters most to you?
Where do you draw the line? Are you prioritizing pure armor strength, or is rust prevention and daily usability more important for your truck?
Let’s hear what your dealbreaker is when looking at steps.

- Grip: Having a solid, non-slip punched plate or textured surface so nobody slips in the rain, mud, or snow.
- Rust Resistance: High-quality coating (like e-coat or heavy powder coat) that won't start flaking and rusting after one winter on salted roads.
- Strength: Heavy-duty steel and solid mounting brackets that can actually take a hit from a rock or stump without flexing into the rocker panels.
- Fit: A clean, high-and-tight fitment that hugs the body perfectly and doesn't steal your ground clearance.
