Ceramic tinted the front windows to match the rear today! 20% for anyone who may want to know.

It's a little lighter than I usually like to do. I usually do 5% in back, 10-15% in front but it's not horrible. I can see out perfectly fine and you can only really see a silhouette when looking in. Didn't want to mess around tinting over factory tint or anything. $120 could've quickly went up quick lol.

KO2s are coming VERY soon if I have any say.

Edit: here's some photos at night under a light after a fresh wash. I'll post some more in the day tomorrow but she's going to be dirtyyyy, the snows melting up this way lol

Looks good! Hopefully you donā€™t get hassled about it. Thatā€™s darker than even most US states, though itā€™s ridiculous that none is allowed here. Mind you I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever seen the rule actually be enforced here.

Looks good! I love the white. I put 5% over the factory tint in the back and 35% on the front

Looks good! I regret now now making the rear darker by doing the same. I think I'll plan it next time I go to the city.

Front window tint in Alberta is prohibited completely lol. I ran 5% all round on my Camry for the last two years though and never had a problem in my small city, even when I got pulled in for doing 130kph in a 100 lol (with license and insurance papers left at home may I add lol šŸ™„). I was a little more nervous I'd get pulled in when I was in Edmonton but none of them seemed to batt an eye at me.

While it looks cool, you would be racking up the tickets where I live. Totally illegal. šŸ˜ŽšŸ«¤

Same here. No aftermarket tint, period. To pass your annual inspection, you either have to strip it down or find a shop that "forgets" to roll your windows up to check. These shops are getting massive fines, to the point where some are shut down permanently.

Just not worth it anymore. I'm done with that.

But man, yours looks good.

But not for me.

Did I mention yours looks good?

No.

Thanks! I'm very glad we don't have annual inspections here lol. I don't even know if we need inspections period, which is pretty wild.

Ugh that sounds like a bad day! 130 though is just about the unofficial speed limit. Assuming this was on the divided. But itā€™s fast enough to attract attention if quotas arenā€™t filled yet. Iā€™ve just heard of tint tickets here as asshole tickets. As in if youā€˜re one to the cop expect to get the tint on top of whatever else he didnā€™t like you doing. What I donā€™t know though is if theyā€™re just fines here, or actual fix it tickets. Iā€™d almost suspect the fines, everything seems to be so much about the revenue.

No annual of course which explains the condition of some of the vehicles running around. Generally though people buy better here as they can afford it. But. There are 2 inspections, one required one possible:

1. Outside of Alberta. Done this one once, total cash grab when you have to take a good car to crappy tire to have the kids write up a report stating so. Still, Iā€™ll take one time over annual any day.

2. Your insurance MAY require one before issuing your pink card for vehicles >10 years old. Iā€™ve done this 3 times (10 years, 23 years, & 25 years, so that may be contributing to why I browse new car forums nowā€¦ haha). Iā€™ve not been once asked to get an inspection prior to being issued insurance. Usually the conversation goes something like:
ā€youā€™d like to insure your 1988 junker deluxe with us? Since youā€™re such a valued customer having both your home & auto here, we wonā€™t be requiring any of those pesky inspections to add to your fleetā€.

We don't have inspections in Ohio, but the law is 50% tint on front windows. Not sure it would be worth it. Not sure how often it is enforced, but seems like a good reason for a copy to harass someone.

It definitely gives them reason or cause. I'd be more cautious in a bigger city but all the cops speed around here so I'm personally not too worried lol
