So does 6th gen runner share lights with 4th gen taco ? Looks great 👍
they do and they don’t lol.

They’re more or less the exact same housing with the same mounting points but even in the highest trim Tacoma they have a single “beam” for their lights where as some of the 4Runner’s have the two beam houses and then the really nice amber running light.

one brave soul here (@JayTech) was the first one to plunk down the cash on his hunch that the 4Runner lights would fit up on the Tacoma. He was right. Proved it out to others and a few of us have been crazy enough to splurge on the lights.

So the 4runner Pro lights are better than the Tacoma Pro lights ? Dual vs single ?

it’s more or less looks. The Tacoma has a single light source that can do low and high beams with an incandescent turn signal bulb and the DRL is the same light as the headlight.

the 4 runner pro lights give you the amber DRL and turn signal in one. It’s an led and the single low beam led “projector” and a led high beam “projector”

functionally they all provide the same amount of light. It’s just how you want that light housing to look while doing it.
