that's fantastic. While still overpriced, sure is a helluva lot better than paying toyota's extortion rates.

Yeah I mean it’s half the price. Very similar to OEM in terms of looks. I saw the cheaper ones from Home Depot and harbor freights but those look cheesy and cheap. Something I don’t want to put in my truck.

Yup. The cheaper ones were definitely no go for me. The ones you posted are in my amazon cart. Great find! Especially for a noob like me that's just getting started.

I went the Harbor Freight route. Fits perfect, has a heavy duty metal housing and was about $22 with a coupon. USB C charge port, and super bright.

Cheaper yes, but the stock look is my preferred choice. I do have a couple of those harbor freight lights in my road kit though.

Now that's a cool addon. I'm still going for the "factory" looking ones but that's a nice alt.

Yeah I prefer the clean look that looks factory. Those harbor freight lights is a pass for me. Looks cheap and make the interior look cheaper.

Right on. Let's be honest, the light is a vanity item. We all carry (or should) flashlights and more. This is one of those "cool" factor things and being that, I want it factory looking.

I wish I knew about these ones about five months ago before I bought the Toyota OEM ones and paid double the price, they look identical except for the Toyota brand name on it. As far as performance, I guess until you really need to use it you would never find out, but good post for those who want to add the lantern to their list of Taco accessories.

For what it’s worth to you, These are fairly new so it wasn’t available 6 months ago. So feel better :)

Anyone have pic of factory OEM one. Also is this what the strange cubby was made for?

The cubby can hold an OEM Toyota muti-tool, the OEM (or aftermarket) light, or just be used as general storage. I'm sure others have come up with unique ways to use it too.
