My new “Rare Spec” 2025 Tacoma TRD Off Road

After 8 months of scrolling through the forum, and another 7 months of driving it, I have finally created an account. I ordered a “Blue Crush TRD Off Road Premium Long Bed” back in January of 2025 and took delivery in August of 2025. Was worried 6 months in as I knew the 2026’s were going to be starting soon, and shortly after finding out “Heritage Blue” was replacing “Blue Crush Metallic”. But here it is, the day it arrived off the carrier, and the day I took it home.

In Canada it is the opposite, with the majority being the 6’ bed.

Me too, I’m hoping one day they either bring Blueprint over to the Tacoma and 4Runner, or they bring back one of the past blue’s. Maybe Speedway Blue Pearl, Indigo Ink Pearl, Nautical Blue Metallic, Blue Ribbon Metallic, or Blazing Blue Pearl.

Thanks bro, not sure why Canada would limit the premiums to only 5’. I also seen that for the Canadian premiums, they also remove the Power Tailgate feature from them, is that true?

Thanks, I felt it was best to get the long bed now in the event that Toyota eventually decides to discontinue them. It also helps that this generation, the long bed look a lot more proportional to me than the short bed.

To me it’s the perfect ratio of interior space, bed space, and overall size. The interior space is big enough for 2 people and if needed 2 or 3 rear seat passengers, you get a 6’ bed (also helps that I got the bed extender which can make it a 7‘ or 8’ bed if needed), and it’s in a package that is 7.5“ shorter, 3” narrower, and 4” lower that a comparable Tundra Crewmax 5.5’ box.

In Hawaii, the majority I see are 5’ bed’s. Though it seems that this generation, a lot more people are opting for the 6’ bed’s compared to the last gen Tacoma.
