  1. Front suspension clunk

On the TRD OR models, the Bilstein shocks have what they call End Stop Control Valves (ESCV). The clunk you're hearing is probably the shock piston hitting the ESCV. I can hear it on speed bumps and different large hits.
  2. El Taco [Operation: Not A Build] - 2024 TRD Off-Road Journal

Nice truck! I too have a tendency to turn every vehicle into a project at the expense of being a good daily driver. I'm trying real hard to keep my Tacoma civilized and focus on daily comfort.
  3. SS6 LED Fog Light Kit | Diode Dynamics

Have you guys considered a mounting bracket to put SS3 pods behind the lower valance? I'd like a set of the yellow SS3 fog lights to use as additional lighting when needed, but still be able to use the Toyota OEM fog lights when I don't need the extra punch of the SS3s.
  4. OEM Tonneu cover question?

I get one little drip from the seam of the panel closest to the tailgate. Hard to describe, but if you're standing at the tailgate and fold the first panel open it's that seam that has very small drip. I haven't tried to see if there's a fix. Maybe there's debris blocking the water from flowing...
  5. OEM Tonneu cover question?

Yes, that's the correct part number. Lots of info here: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/oem-trifold-hard-tonneau-cover-pt954-35240-installed-on-2024-tacoma.4312/
  6. OEM Tonneu cover question?

My truck did not come with the trifold cover. I bought the cover separately from a local Toyota dealership and installed it myself. No issues. Ask them to print off the instructions for you because the package does not include them. They've also been posted on here in other threads but my local...

  8. OEM Tonneu cover question?

If you're going to drive with it open then you should use the prop rods and they should hold it off the window/cab. When I'm not driving, I just let it lean against the window and I haven't had any issues.
  9. Washington Toyota TRD Side Steps $800

    Here are a couple:
  10. Help - MT Baja Legend EXP or Destination XT?

That's fair, I just wanted to make sure you saw all the options. I always ran E range tires, but wanted a smoother ride for my 2024 Tacoma. This youtube video really helped convince me to give SL tires a try: I'm currently running SL tires for the first time and so far they have been great...
  11. Help - MT Baja Legend EXP or Destination XT?

Would you be open to other tires? I don't think 5 pounds is going to be very noticeable and the E load range is going to be stiff no matter what brand you choose. Nitto has the Terra Grappler G3 in 275/70R18 at 45 pounds and SL rated. SL will be much smoother on road.

  15. ‘E’ Rated Tire Pressures

I should clarify that lower air pressure will ride smoother, but higher air pressure will carry more load. Experiment with different pressures and see what you like.
  16. How's your 2024 Tacoma been running so far?

    5,600 miles and running great
  17. ‘E’ Rated Tire Pressures

My F150 has E rated tires and I ran them at 35 psi for 120k miles... first set of tires lasted 100k miles. Second set is currently at 20k miles. I would air them up before towing or maxing out the payload capacity of the bed. The more air pressure, the higher the load capacity. There's charts...
  18. ‘E’ Rated Tire Pressures

As far as I'm aware, E rated tires have a minimum pressure of 35psi
  19. What is the tire pressure for 285/70/17?

Thanks, but I'm good at 30psi. There's no need for that pressure unless you're towing or have the bed fully loaded down. Commuting to and from work at 30 has been great for me. You can plug in your information here to get the recommended pressure: https://tiresize.com/pressure-calculator/ That...
  20. What is this light on the headliner?

I was wondering what that little light was for a couple days ago. It doesn't bother me all that much. The worst light for me at night is the bright blue "D" next to the shifter. I tried putting a "light dims" sticker over it but then you can't see the letter during the day which seems like it...
