Connecting it to your battery isn't going to hurt anything. Leave the engine idling. It looks like they have a newer version that can plug into the 7-pin trailer connector on the rear bumper instead of directly to the battery...

Victory4x4 has a skid plate that attaches to the front recovery mounts and does not need or use the crossmember @Victory 4x4

Here's a simple explanation: Basically an engine needs air, fuel, and spark to run. A turbocharger forces more air into the engine, which then can allow more fuel to enter the engine. More air + more fuel = more power (more combustion).

Nice setup! Forgive my ignorance, but why would you need three radios? I imagine you must be using them for different things. I haven't dabbled with HAM or GMRS but I've always been curious and it looks like it could be a fun hobby.

Are they a stiffer material like the Weathertechs or soft rubber like Husky Liners?

Washington is also mostly Ka band radar with some K band in smaller towns. I know laser is around, but I've not personally seen any except when I was in Idaho a few years ago. Also, the high end radar detectors do a good job filtering out the false alerts from other radar sources.

I'm planning to do the same when I get my Tacoma. Let me know if you get it figured out. My plan was to locate the wires for the mirror and test them with a multimeter. EDIT: looks like I posted at the same time as maxx075. Thanks for the info!

Is this the version specifically for the 2024 Tacoma or did you use a version for the previous generation? I ask because Decked told me the 2024 version isn't available yet because they're trying to resolve the USB access issue.

Did the skid plate include the 6 bolts or did you have to buy them separately?

I've noticed that a 17x9 wheel with 0 offset will list 5.00" of backspacing, while a 17x8.5 wheel with 0 offset will list 4.75" of backspacing. So I think your math makes sense. There are some helpful calculators on this website: https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

Looks nice. Can you post a picture showing where the skid plate stops relative to the rear crossmember? Trying to see what (if anything) is left exposed. I'm not planning on hardcore trails, but I would like more protection than the factory plastic skid plate.

Any chance you guys will make top plate spacers that provide less than 1.25" of leveling? When my truck is delivered, I'd like to raise the front a little bit (0.5"-0.75") but still keep some of the factory rake. Thanks

Nice looking truck! Could you post up some pictures showing the tire poke on the rear tires? I'm leaning toward the same tires with Method wheels in a +25 offset. It might just be me, but the Falkens look wider to me than other tires that are the same size.
