Does anybody have any information on the trailer backup system.
I am interested in the trailer size dimensions. I am pulling a small off-road camper.
I love the blind spot monitoring system on my present truck.
Any and all information on the system would be very helpful.

With no information from Toyota I am having to look at a Ranger
or F-150. I can't believe why Toyota is blacking out this type of information. It is integral to my choice in truck make!

What info are you looking for? The word "trailer" appears 531 times in the manual. Hopefully one of them is the info you are looking for.

Thanks for the very helpful info.
The information I am looking for is the blind spot detection on a trailer. My camper is a six ft. by eight ft. venturist. The other information I am looking for is the blind spot detection when towing a driver.

Search for "Trailer Mode BSM" and there are 10 hits. Not a whole lot of info other than how to add a trailer and set the length.

The Pro & Trailhubter have the two extra “shark fins” for a wireless trailer camera system. I haven’t seen anything in the current build configurations that have this as an option.

It's in the owner's manual. I'd have to pull open the PDF again (you can download them directly from Toyota's website for file trust), but if I recall correctly, it can support a trailer up to 28ft long.

It determines the blind spots and length by taking it through a "learning routine" in a flat parking lot where you have to do both left and right hand turns. So I would suspect they have an algorithm analyzing the trailer from the sideview mirror cameras to calculate length and set blindspot monitoring points.

You can store multiple trailers, just like multiple wheels, but I forget reading if there was a defined max.
