I haven't even paid attention to mine (but I haven't gotten the warning when it was closed). But is the switch just a prox sensor? Or how does it work?
You have to be like 15 feet away, and within a direct line of sight lol. Probably not that stringent, but myself and other have found it to not even be worth trying with the fob cause it's so temperamental.
You'd be better off buying aftermarket. Hard to tell how long you're going to be waiting on these, and they'll be about double the cost of a good set of 3rd party.
I bought a set of heretic high power ambers for my OR and they way exceed the stocks.
From my understanding, no, it is not. Meaning it will not work without a cellular connection.
I have never used it, so take that with a grain of salt lol.
Two chirps at startup? Have you had the alternator checked for the charging voltage?
Reason I ask is that a lot of us have the chirp at startup, myself included, and it's the AC clutch.
First I've seen or heard of an alternator going out.
What you want and what you're wanting to afford are two different things. I couldn't afford the monthly payment on mine either (5.99 APR when I bought mine), which is why I put 25k down to offset that high payment. My monthly is still like 5ish with 50% down.
You may need to look into something...
There's two forces at work here, both have to do with lugging your nuts. So when you got loose nuts, you wobble. That wobble is gonna cause some rotational imbalances on your rotors, thus speeding up wear.
2ndly, when you got tight nuts, that counter clockwise potential energy is gonna wanna...
And this is exactly why I disabled mine in the dealership parking lot before driving the truck home. Not that I went as far as you did lol.
Still blows my mind that people are willing and gladly PAY Toyota to give them all of their driving information (locations/speeds/trips/ etc.).
