Agree on the built in step. I will most likely get a drop down step when the after market steps come out. I had one in my amazon cart for $70 for my 2023 3rd gen before I gave it to my son and traded his 2019. No way am I paying $400+ for a step. Toyota already made enough on the truck I...
He drove like 15 hours to get it! Glad he stopped to let some air out of his seriously over inflated tires. All four of my tires were at 42 psi when I picked it up when recommended is 30 psi. If you have a long drive after picking up your truck, check your psi before!
PS- I like the lighter...
Things that I think could be improved on the 2024 Tacoma Off Road...
1. Larger Fuel Tank! Went from 21.1 to 18.1 or three gallons less. It is more efficient, but would have loved to see a 400 mile range on the new Tacoma
2. Rear Air Vents- I do not usually have anyone in back, but my pup is...
I watched the chief engineer talk about the commercial grade turbo and how it has larger hoses to cool it. Hoses they would put on a V8. He also said they ran the engine in different angles to simulate off road positions.
It made me feel pretty good about getting a Tacoma with this engine.
I think it is interesting if you know about the pebble paint on the lower doors you like it and if you don't you think something is wrong with your paint job!
Yes, idle for a minute after high load or speed to allow the turbo to cool. A minute is what I saw. I will probably idle for a minute if pulling off highway to refuel.
Bummer. I would try unchecking and turning off. Restart and check the selection and turn off. Then when started again try both buttons on the sides and the fob.
The sunglasses holder is back in the off road! Did not have one in my 4runner off road or the Tacoma off roads due to multi terrain select and crawl control, but it is now back!
I have always thought the Sport comes with stock road tires and the off road with an all terrain tire. The goodyear all terrains on my 2023 off road seemed to have more road noise than the BFG tires on my 24. I like the bilsteins, locker & not sure if the sport has the multi terrain select...
Not sure how far the design goes back but the 2019 SR5 we bought had the same pattern of paint. I suspect it goes back a long way and as you said you don't notice it unless you look.
I recommend getting a dealership with a good reputation and does not charge a mark up and working with a specific salesperson (we have had several Toyotas) If you don't know a sales person there, read the reviews. You will see certain names of sales people start to get mentioned more than...
I almost laughed out loud when they were talking about the pebble paint on the lower doors. I guess they did not know it is by design made that way. These are my home boys but they sure don't know Tacomas!
You have been driving a bit longer than me and I agree that people need to always know how to drive without these nice to have tech, but I like the 360 camera when backing up along with the camera and the dynamic cruise control with steering assist. Also love the auto hold button that holds you...
Good info. It is definitely a tad higher than my previous gen 3 at the hood and bed height, the cab roof is definitely higher and the wheel base a bit longer but I think it is the same length or very close to the 2023 I had based on pulling into my garge
and I can say that safety sense 3 is...
It looks similar and probably would fit. If I was a routine off roader, I would probably get the TRD skid plate. About all I do is jump the highway to the access road when there is a wreck on I-35! lol!
Very Nice! Mine is a 2019 I believe. It has been so good and dependable! My buddy has electronic shifting on his rig and was laughing at me because I still shift by wire. I was laughing and wondering what new improvement with they make this year that we really don't need. On one of our...
