I am a big manual transmission enthusiast. I’ve only ever owned manual cars but I’m on the fence about this new Tacoma.
I am leaning towards the manual but still would consider an auto.
Has anyone test drove both? What are your thoughts?
Manual owners, persuade me to stick with my gut and just...
It’s possible that he meant to say KO2, as KO2s are available in that size.
he might have had to do modifications to make those fit stock height without rubbing
That color with a manual transmission is awesome! Let us know how the manual feels. Haven’t seen many people provide feedback yet but it’s mainly been positive.
That’s what I’m expecting. Just a chill long shift throw driving experience haha. I’ve got a manual sports car with a short throw shifter so a manual Tacoma will be a good balance
I’ve seen a few YouTube videos with people driving these new Tacomas on 35s and they say it handles the power well. Not sure how it’ll affect the gear shifting but these trucks seem to be powerful enough to negate the extra weight of heavy tires.
I test drove an automatic recently. The transmission was smooth, but manual is just more fun for me. The manual also has less power only because of a reduced redline due to flywheel chattering at high revs.
Who all has purchased and had time to put some miles on a manual Tacoma?
I haven’t seen too many manual reviews so I’m just curious on your feedback on the manuals!
