I installed the Land Crusier âTOYOTAâ skid plate in my SR5 this afternoon (finally) and I saw this part in the box but could not figure out if I need it on the Tacoma. Anyone know what/where/how this piece goes on our trucks if running the LC skid?
(I had to purchase the RCI offroad cross member...
Finally found some time this afternoon to install my first upgrades. OEM front recovery points, âTOYOTAâ skid plate with RCI cross member, Caliraised tailgate anti-theft plate.
I had a question for those of you that have a non-OR/TH/PRO vehicle and use a cross member. I bought the RCI Off-road...
I donât know if youâd really call it a âmodâ but upgrading the cardboard they call a skid plate to a factory skid hopefully wouldnât void any warranty? Iâve been needing to swap mine out for the LC âTOYOTAâ one.
Thanks for posting this maintenance chart Izzy. Did my 2 oil change at 5k mi recently, trying to stay cool with all forum members here based on experiences.
Just curious if anyone with the red reflectors has successfully been able to âupgradeâ wiring to add the door lights? My poor manâs SR5 only had the reflectors.
Thank you for the explanation on how these work and why theyâre needed. I have a SR5 and was wondering why they didnât come as an option from dealer. Watching for progress as another option to run rear recovery points.
Looks great Turnermier! I also bought the LC skid plate and had to get the front cross member as some members noted since mine is just the SR5 so doesnât have that front mounting point. Just need to find the time to install them!
Hey there OP! Welcome to the club - (first time truck buyer here also). Mine is a â25 SR5 4x4 long bed in underground. Iâve only gotten side steps and the LC skid plate in my list of things Iâve messed with, but hoping to follow your thread for other ideas and inspiration!
For those of yâall that had to add the front cross member to install a skid plate - I found a couple varying designs and wanted to see if one was better than the other? (One version mounted to the same holes and front recovery point and another saw looked like it mounted to the frame?). Anyhow I...
I have this for our ES and it worked for my 4th gen but the filter fits the âinner ringâ since itâs such a tiny filter lol

I see. Is this crossmember âstandardâ on the TRD OR trim for some other attached stuff already thatâs not included on SR5 trims? Anyone happen to know the part number for the crossmember by chance?
Hey yall,
Anyone have any experience with SyneticUSAâs bed covers? Iâm thinking about the MR series cover for my 6â bed and curious about the install, functionality, and space to add gear to in the future.
thank you,
Marvin
Wish the SR5 trim had some compatibility with these. Us peasant-folk would like the option to mount these also but my tow bar only has threaded holes on one side. .
