NRCan has published the official mileage ratings for the gas model Tacomas:

The bottom one is the 6MT. I'm not clear on the difference between the "2-mode" and "3-mode" 4WD they're referring to is. I thought maybe one was the full-time...
Tax varies by province, so it makes sense to talk about the MSRP. GX550 Signature is $83500. I expect Land Cruiser will be around $73500. Probably about $2k higher than the Tacoma Limited.
I think you're a couple grand short. From what I could tell, the hybrid has a couple more options snuck in that don't appear on the specs for the gas model: underbody protection, 18" wheels and tires, in addition to the SDM that you've already included. Also consider that the SDM is like...
Most of the parts on the engine are new for this specific application, so I doubt there's much on the market that would bolt on. You can expect intake and exhaust to be the first things to hit the market, but even that will take probably 6 months after the trucks hit the road.
Given that this is one of the first production batches, they could very well be randomly doing an in-depth final QC on some trucks just to make sure the output matches the intended design.
In Canada, the order guide for the hybrids was released, and yes the only hybrid with an available 6' is the Trailhunter. It may be different in the US. I was surprised the Limited isn't available with 6'.
Thanks for sharing this! I was hoping for a 6' option on the OR hybrid, but feared they would use that to distinguish the Trailhunter, which appears to be the case. Surprised there's no 6' Limited, though!
Also still no digital mirror on the OR which is kind of surprising.
Curious why they...
I just checked Tirerack and they now have the 2024 Tacoma on there and they're saying 6x139 which is the same as the 2023. Looks like backspacing might be a bit different.
The only 6MT options are TRD OR (base) or TRD Sport+. If you look at the base 6MT model, it has bilsteins, Multi-Terrain, and locking rear diff.
Sport and Sport Premium are both 8AT.
I noticed the lack of sway bar disconnect, but hadn't even noticed that there was no power tailgate. I'm not sure I'd pay any extra for either of those, but frustrating to see it's not an option. Curious if they'll adjust the packages for the hybrid OR.
I'm guessing $76-78k for the TH and Pro. I'm planning on getting the hybrid OR Premium which should be around $66k before taxes if the hybrid cost is similar to Tundra. What do the TH and Pro have to justify more than a $10k premium over that?
