I know everybody’s financial situation is different. But. After that kind of adventure I’d have to message on it even to see if they’d come down a bit.
Not to hijack this too far… but… Which slim wallet are you using now? My bifold looks like the pics of the trifold. Yet I realize I use exactly 1 credit card out of it & should probably carry my DL. The rest of my wallet probably doesn’t need to be part of my EDC if for no other reason than...
Does the onboard nav work in these even if you don’t pay the subscription? I’ve always liked it because even if it’s not up to the minute up to date, it’ll generally get you there in areas where you don’t have cell reception. I’ve been reading though that more onboard nav systems now don’t...
Those look great on your truck! & I’m not always a fan of aftermarket wheels. But I dare say these look much better than what’s offered on the factory limited.
Thank you for sharing your travels! I love traveling to US national sites & plan to steal your patch idea. KC is one of my favorite places despite not being a particularly well known tourist destination. Now I know I have to get across MO next time to visit the Arch too even if it’s more...
Thanks for asking this because I had no idea Toyota had a version of this! It’s incredibly rare outside of Ford, yet such an awesome helpful feature. A lot of Fords now it’s a dealer installed wireless pad that basically just sticks wherever you want it. So I’d hope it would be programmable &...
Glad you did! I’ve seen this thread from other forums & it’s always a great read to see people’s automotive journeys & how it led them to own or consider owning the forum subject car. & while a list is great, to me this is really a thread that begs for some pics to be included.
Ah. Good to know thanks. I suspect once I actually get behind the wheel of a Toyota I’ll find other small things like this that I’m used to doing in other cars that don’t work the same.
Maybe I’m missing something here. But can’t you just leave the truck running, take the fob with you, & hit the lock button on the fob from outside the truck? Or touch the lock part of the door handle?
1998-2007: 1998 GMC Sierra. It was pretty well miled & aged out. Time to trade for an upgrade.
2007-2016: 2007 Ford F150. It was getting up there & seemed big for the city. Wish I’d kept it, I’d still be driving it I’m sure. The best vehicle I’ve owned, though the Acura was up there too...
How true! I can’t believe some places have things such as glass insurance. Here a windshield isn’t quite an oil change, but certainly more often than tires.
The other part of all this is the hype, which I kinda forgot about until rereading the thread title. I waited 8 months for my build, a timeframe most Toyota intenders are familiar with waiting for the perfect allocation. In that time I’d built up the car so much in my mind, just giddy with...
It’s entirely possible to test drive a vehicle & go as far as a purchase only to wind up in disappointment. First impressions are everything & perhaps unfortunately for OP impressions may not change. My advice though is to stick it for a bit (thankfully Toyota’s have about as linear...
I saw that checking on a Tundra. Sadly it’ll probably be a rarely produced color which will lead them to conclude people don’t want brown. I hope not because if it looks like I think it will based on renders it’ll be an awesome color!
She’s always up for going in the car! I remember this trip a couple of years ago now too. She couldn’t believe she was being given a front row seat!
I don’t know what they make these things out of, but it has to be about the most indestructible horse blanket fabric. Our fleet trucks get these & can’t wear it out. They usually don’t fit too bad either even if we’re long beyond the days with park bench seats in regular cab trucks.
Appreciate your well thought out comparison & decision process. Nobody can say youd din’t put effort into making your choice! Congrats on the Canyon. I do really like the Denali after checking it out at the auto show this year. Such a nice old school luxury interior.
Thanks for a great explanation! It makes sense to me. I was trying to figure out how I’m not as satisfied with my cars as I used to be & wondered if something better might be found in a Toyota. Yet my current car is certainly reliable at least as I know it (the 2nd type). But it’s entirely...
