  1. Battery dying after only 2-3 days sitting

Oops, should have known that...had a RAV4 limited hybrid before the Tacoma...LOL Thanks!
  2. Battery dying after only 2-3 days sitting

I'm retired, so my truck can easily sit for 4 - 5 days and I haven't had any issues. Without some sort of parasitic draw, 2-3 days seems a bit extreme. I'd have the battery and the alternator checked, if you haven't already. Should be under warranty in any case. Hope you find the issue!

Welcome Peter, awesome truck! Idaho must have a ton of awesome trails to explore, have fun!!
  5. New bug with remote start (Android App)

I had a similar issue with my S23 until I went into settings (on phone), under Android Auto and selected the Start Android Auto while locked. Now it doesn't give many issues though once in a while I need to go into BT settings on the truck and select my phone...rare but still happens.
  6. Infotainment knob too small (8" screen models)

Yes, it does just pull off. Easy replacement, I did it on my truck.
  7. Everyone Enjoying. ?

That's good to know, thanks for that one! The first time I tried to back up with the driver's door open threw me for a moment or two...sort of a pain. I also had the truck go crazy when my wife got out to move the garbage can out of the way while it was in front of the truck. It wouldn't move...
  8. 4WD Drive Modes - Explanation

Fourhearts56 I know exactly what you mean! I am coming from a 2011 FJ 4x4 with two buttons, A-TRAC and a rear locker. Don't remember ever needing either button in snow/ice, sand, and heavily plowed hilly farmland when using 4WD...LOL. I will be using the "auto" selection, unless that doesn't...

I love the color, though here in farm country, it does show the dust. I guess the amount of dust we have would show on just about anything though. LOL

Welcome Gary! Nice looking truck and have fun!
  12. New TRD Off Road Owner from the PNW

I had a 2011 FJ 4x4 previously. Always felt I could go just about anywhere I wanted to in that thing and loved the handling. Of course, there is a huge difference with respect to technology, but this truck feels at least as sure footed and capable as the FJ.
  13. New TRD Off Road Owner from the PNW

Welcome Ryan! Congrats on the truck! I love mine.
  14. Ditch lights half way installed!!

I totally agree! So much easier than it was installing roof lights on my FJ! No firewall pass thru, no fussing with wiring a switch, and no drilling!
  15. pulling the trigger tomorrow.

    Congratulations! Have fun!!
  16. pulling the trigger tomorrow.

  18. Bronze Oxide Build // TRD Sport Premium Package - Seattle Area

Welcome back Yoda_Tacoma! Wow, 60K for your 3G! Was a great looking truck, sorry to hear it's fate. I will be interested in what you do with your new 4G. I gave up an FJ for an OR and haven't regretted it yet...though with the rumors of a new FJ in the pipeline, we'll see how I feel when it...
  19. 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport handling snow storm like a champ... how about yours?

Assuming you are referring to switching back and forth between 4x2 and 4x4 drive, not tires? Can you keep us informed on how well things go as you get more snow? Sounds like you could be in for some good snow fall, depending on where you are...stay safe!!
  20. 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport handling snow storm like a champ... how about yours?

Thanks! My previous vehicle was a 2011 FJ 4x4 with KO2s which I was pretty confident in while in the snow. I will be curious how the Taco does with these tires. Have been on the fence as to whether to replace them with the KO3, Falken Wildpeaks, or just sticking with these for a winter. I...
