That looks good. My strategy will be to let the fenders go to hell (already very pin striped and rock chipped) and replace them entirely when they get really bad.
It for sure sounds skid plate related to me. I’ve also got a cat guard under there. It could be a stabilizer arm moving and hitting it.
I’ll crawl under there and see if it appears to be a big deal.
The tire sound is separate from the clunking - try to ignore the tire grip sound and listen to what’s happening in the background. It feels like metal rubbing against metal.
Hey guys - I get a clicking sound when steering sometimes - it’s def not all the time but when it happens it’s somewhat concerning. I can also feel it in the steering wheel. There should not be any rubbing whatsoever. Here is a video. Any idea what this is?
285/70/18 will be 33.7” to 34” depending on the brand, and 285/75/18 will be 34.8” to 35” depending on the brand. Same width.
Westcott knows what they are doing they will take care of you
@Airborne - I haven’t seen a better video for explaining tire fitment considerations - diameter, offset, castor, and tire width. I’d watch it. One day I will try to make content this good.
No problem. I’m a former computer programmer and the first time it happened I almost stabbed the screen with my truck knife.
Then my wife added her phone so she could play an awful podcast about gut health on a road trip and it massively confused my car play. Took me forever to figure it out...
I want to do this for my 9mm, but I always end up putting a bunch of stuff I need in there like a knife, garage clicker, car wash coins lol… but I’m interested
This happens to me from time to time. Gotta go to settings, blue tooth, find your phone, and hit the apple car play toggle. It’s not too too glitchy but happens
Thank you! Please hit like and subscribe if you liked the video. I’d take the Tacoma frame and rear axle housing as well. I also like the refinement of our powertrain and MPG by comparison. But the RR is def way faster and the dampening is better. Just not the truck for me, for my needs...
Hey guys - these clips are all over the truck and I need the part number. My PPF guy needs to remove some for the third time (long story) to fit some PPF and if you’re familiar with toyota clips they get shitty after a few removals — I’d rather pop in fresh clips. Bonus if you know the clips...
Video on Falken vs KO3 size. With certain offsets I think the Falken could rub as it’s so wide — and I learned they def rub with the Canadian mud flaps. Width also causes rubbing.
Hey guys - so how much does the rear axle housing tell us about the actual size of the axles inside? If the Tacoma has a 3.2” axle housing and the Raptor has a 3” axle housing does this necessarily mean the rear axle inside the Tacoma is thicker? It would track given the larger diameter ring...
