  1. Rust on the seat from metal underneath

I am perplexed as to why you’ve got the rust and I don’t - but maybe I will - google ā€œrust under seatā€ and watch a wave of complaints for every kind of vehicle. It’s not toyota being cheap is my point. It just happens. I’ll do some more digging as I’m just curious. Part of the issue is if...
  2. *UPDATE* - 285/17/R18 BF Goodrich KO3 tires on stock Trailhunter - before & after photos

I was about to ask for an update! Thanks. A little bummed by the drop in MPG. Makes me wonder why more tire companies don’t have more C load options!
  3. Rust on the seat from metal underneath

Lol - I’m glad - I am OCD and so I think I just get it. Helps to zoom out a little. Us Tacoma guys are a passionate and crazy bunch. I was thinking about it the other day. There’s an irrational emotional aspect to Tacoma ownership .. it’s why the truck means something more than a vehicle to...
  4. RTI Score of 532 (in suspension / axle flex test) for 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter - very respectable

These are the bump seats not the stops themselves - we can add them on the top side of the spring.
  5. Rust on the seat from metal underneath

OP: I’ve got some input for you. I think your metal components down there are insufficiently greased. I live in swamp-ass Houston which is similar to ā€˜Bama humidity. And I have zero rust including that piece that is near the seat cushion. Try to find some of that grease and just apply it as...
  6. Rust on the seat from metal underneath

I bought a house once with a bunch of shit wrong. It drove me nuts but I really liked the house. Threatened to sell it a few times. Once I sorted out all the issues it was smooth sailing and I never looked back. Right now we’re hyper focused on imperfections. I did the same with the third gen.
  7. Sometimes Truck Beeps when Locking

I’m for sure a no food in my truck guy lol
  8. RTI Score of 532 (in suspension / axle flex test) for 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter - very respectable

It doesn’t. But I was thinking of adding them for giggles.
  9. Rust on the seat from metal underneath

I have the same stuff - given we all have the same things it seems less bad to me - it’s manufacturing imperfections. My initial plan was to buy a 2027 when these would all be worked out but my 2022 pro was stolen so I had to pull the trigger now.
  10. Rust on the seat from metal underneath

It’s not dumb. I’m similar in that when I spend a crap load of money on something my expectations are way higher. It’s normal. I think when we’ve had these trucks for a year or so we will have better perspective on whether it was worth it. For me, I really like the truck - but we’ll see how...
  11. Sometimes Truck Beeps when Locking

Hmm.. why is it forcing me to check the back seats lol
  12. Sometimes Truck Beeps when Locking

All fobs should be in my house. But I do drive my kids around and I have my bag for work.. but I always remove my kids and bag .. so not sure what you mean by opening and closing
  13. RTI Score of 532 (in suspension / axle flex test) for 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter - very respectable

Same truck except seats, snorkel, suspension, fender flares (matte/gloss), rock rails and air pump
  14. RTI Score of 532 (in suspension / axle flex test) for 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter - very respectable

I think it’s a half inch attributable entirely to the skid plates - but maybe you’re right - it would be the sprung weight if anything.. but I’m not convinced at all that the PRO is taller. Edit - the tech specs show pro as 75.8ā€ tall overall and TH as 75.5ā€-75.8ā€ ..??ā€ā™‚ļø
  15. Sometimes Truck Beeps when Locking

Oftentimes my truck will beep multiple times after I turn it off and nothing is in the back - when I try to lock it with the fob. Anyone experience this?
  16. RTI Score of 532 (in suspension / axle flex test) for 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter - very respectable

Why would the pro have more ground clearance other than the skid protection? The body armor is def high tensile strength steel on the TH.
  17. RTI Score of 532 (in suspension / axle flex test) for 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter - very respectable

The Trailhunter’s RTI score of 532 is higher than the 24’ PRO (520 - also excellent) and also higher than the shorter wheelbased 2023 PRO (503) as well. I’ve been waiting for someone to do this test and I’m quite pleased with that figure. Considering the long wheelbase, that’s good flex...
  18. *UPDATE* - 285/17/R18 BF Goodrich KO3 tires on stock Trailhunter - before & after photos

That’s why I’m doing 285/70/18 and calling it a day, even if there’s a tiny bit of rub. I’m not comfortable removing the crash pads.
