  1. Rust on the seat from metal underneath

What else is wrong with it? My Trailhunter has been awesome. Every day I can’t wait to jump into it.
  2. Rust on the seat from metal underneath

OP I’ll check mine tomorrow. But appears this has been an issue for 20 years. Also have seen bmw forums with the same issue. I’d maybe just oil it down lightly. I don’t think it’s a unique 2024 toyota Tacoma issue...
  3. Rust on the seat from metal underneath

What’s the cause? Should that metal be painted? I can check mine.
  4. CV Axle differences between trims?

Has anyone confirmed this question? Also how does third gen vs 4th gen CV axle compare ?
  5. Trailhunter max tire size

All pragmatic and cant argue with you - I’m going with 33.7” because it just looks badass and I’ll never need more (and I get the sidewall that I need on an 18) - speedo impact minimal - just wish could find C load (also on the Speedo our trucks already show faster speed than reality so delta...
  6. *UPDATE* - 285/17/R18 BF Goodrich KO3 tires on stock Trailhunter - before & after photos

@Snickers made some small calibrations with 285/75 - maybe it’s camber or other front end suspension settings
  7. *UPDATE* - 285/17/R18 BF Goodrich KO3 tires on stock Trailhunter - before & after photos

Keep us posted. Any rub or wear should be limited to the crash pad felt, which seems fine
  8. *UPDATE* - 285/17/R18 BF Goodrich KO3 tires on stock Trailhunter - before & after photos

Ok I actually think it’s +20 which surprises me given how little poke I see on OP’s setup. @Snickers i think has more poke on a 285 KO3.
  9. *UPDATE* - 285/17/R18 BF Goodrich KO3 tires on stock Trailhunter - before & after photos

So this is the *exact* tire I want to put on my stock Trailhunter wheels - thank you so much for posting. You look super close to the crash pad. I’m surprised. Do you think it’ll rub? Keep us posted please. Can you show a front or back view to show the level of “poke” given the slight wider...
  10. TSB: Hybrid Tacoma Now Included in Transmission Failure Issues & Replacement (October 2024)

My man, people don’t want to be stranded in their super expensive trucks. I get it. And I get your point as well. Let’s all just chill. We are just exchanging info.
  11. TSB: Hybrid Tacoma Now Included in Transmission Failure Issues & Replacement (October 2024)

Everyone chill out! It will be FINE! Let’s be civil. This isn’t TW!
  12. TSB: Hybrid Tacoma Now Included in Transmission Failure Issues & Replacement (October 2024)

Toyota will fix it. It will suck between now and then. And after that hopefully you’ll forget about it and it will be great for years and years. I spent a ton on my TH, more than you spent because of Texas dealer bs, but I’m not worried long-term.
  13. TSB: Hybrid Tacoma Now Included in Transmission Failure Issues & Replacement (October 2024)

It just started right? I mean take it in after a couple week and see if codes thrown and just get the issue documented
  14. TSB: Hybrid Tacoma Now Included in Transmission Failure Issues & Replacement (October 2024)

It’ll be fine man. And you’ll get confidence back in your truck.
  15. TSB: Hybrid Tacoma Now Included in Transmission Failure Issues & Replacement (October 2024)

I’m keeping my truck. But also going to continue to track this issue so I can get a sense for whether I’ll be impacted and how toyota is addressing it over time. I don’t think I’m fear-mongering. I’m not even that upset.
  16. TSB: Hybrid Tacoma Now Included in Transmission Failure Issues & Replacement (October 2024)

Guys - if you’re having issues now count it as a blessing since the transmission will for sure fail within the 60k mile powertrain warranty. Also - you don’t want your trans replaced until they have enough inventory and it’s perfected - buying time is not bad I’m waiting for mine to crap out.
