  1. 2024 Sport with 480 miles - multiple dash warnings and lights, including check engine.

Mine did this around 450 miles. I pulled the battery terminal and it reset. Never came back and no other issues at 12k miles.
  2. RCI Front Lower Link Skids Install

Hi All, Installed some front lower link skids from RCI on my taco. Overall pretty easy but here are some tips that may help the install: Loosen the purple 19mm link bolt from the bolt side. The nut side has features on the nut face that prevent it from turning. Once loosened, you can then...
  3. 🚨 STILLEN Tacoma Intakes on Presale + 5 New Exhaust Systems! 🚨

In case anyone was wondering, I looked at Stillen's previous videos and the baseline (& thereby, likely, the after results) appears to be at 91 octane. I didn't hear that mentioned in the most recent video (or missed it).
  4. Bird crap

We live in the trees & have this problem every spring; you can try folding in your mirrors and/or putting a towel in the areas that your bird likes. However, for us, it's usually 1 specific bird and we either need offer it an alternative spot to perch adjacent to the truck (usually they will...

  6. New Launch: 2024+ Tacoma Roof Rack Cross Bars

Update: I have a leak on the front driver-side. I’ll remove it clean up the area and threads and then try again with the sealant. I’ll admit I tightened down the screws a few hours later once I noticed the rack had shifted so I probably broke the gasket seal in the threads by doing so.
  7. Manual headlight adjuster switch

UPDATE: The shop forgot to plug in the connector behind the switch/in the dash. I didn't check it because I didn't think they would disconnect it to replace the headlight but apparently it is part of the repair procedure. All fixed!
  8. Manual headlight adjuster switch

Based on this yt video it does look like it should be illuminated. Checked the headlamp and it is OEM and everything looks plugged in. Mystery continues... Headlights, DRL's and blinkers all work. It's just the adjustment dial that isn't illuminating or functioning.
  9. Manual headlight adjuster switch

Hi all, Few questions: 1. Does your manual adjustment dial for your headlights light up? 2. Does anyone know which fuse powers the switch and/or mechanism by which the headlights adjust? My truck was in an accident which resulted in a headlight replacement and now the dial doesn’t do...
  10. New Launch: 2024+ Tacoma Roof Rack Cross Bars

Finally got my truck back and the rack on. Overall it went on easy. I had to pull the stickers that sealed off the holes in the roof. Prior to installing the rack I filled all the holes with some grey RTV. I made sure all the gaskets were sitting correctly and the rubber on the rail as well. I'm...
  11. Rock Sliders for Long Bed 4th Gen Tacoma

Finally got the truck back last weekend. CBI Sliders with a kick. Install went as planned. No additional modifications needed to get them on. One bolt was a little tight but I gave it a good pull and it went in place. Quality looks really good and they're very sturdy. Big enough to use as a step...
  12. CV Axle leak after King 2.5 install

Can you share any pictures of the axle/grease/etc.?
  13. OEM vs Aftermarket bed mat

Here are pics of a lasfit clone/amazon one: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/amazon-nqoqn-brand-6ft-bed-mat.7126/ Fits great! And yes, youā€˜d have to cut out the holes for the hooks. $88 shipped.
  14. Digital Key card vs. Toyota phone app?

I use the regular key because the digital one hasnt been reliable enough to work every time. However, it is cool that you can share digital keys in case someone (for whatever reason) needs to access your vehicle if you're not present.
  15. New Skid Plate Installed - TRUMGETA

I googled the part number and it says PC on the Toyota parts store.
  16. New Skid Plate Installed - TRUMGETA

The oem one is powder coated. Here’s a pic of the OEM one where the fastener has pushed thru the coating to the aluminum.
  17. New Skid Plate Installed - TRUMGETA

The price of this is not competitive enough. This needs to be like $2-300 to compete with the OEM TRD one.
  18. Question, Lane assist

You need to turn on adaptive cruise control vs. "normal" cruise control. Toggle the cruise control button, then when you set the speed it'll turn on lane centering.
  19. I'm hearing apparently they added front tow hooks for 2025 to all models, is this something that can be upgraded

I received mine but they each had some damage on the corners and also on the raised lettering. Unsure if I should just keep them since they're tow hooks or if I should let Elmhurst know.
  20. Can anyone identify this rattle?

OP, I've never opened a 4th gen mirror cap but my guess would be the electrical connector in there loose and clicking around
