I'm getting my camera setup tonight in case I need to do some filming tomorrow after work about the reveal! So excited to see what they have done with this thing! I wouldn't be too surprised if we just get a commercial, and then its at the NY auto show and they do a whole presentation there to...
I wondered and thought about driving down there, but I doubt it. Launching what Jeep guys call "the king of 33's" at a Jeep event wouldnt do much for Toyota I dont think. Bronco did it though, so who knows.
He signed off public posting. April hasnt even gotten here yet, he gave us some pretty good info. What I thought about too was the backlash Toyota recently got for the Tundra. They teased something and waited months to say anything and people were actually pretty angry about it. So they may just...
If they tease it before the May event, I will assume it will be at Expo West and will be there to see it up close. If it hasn't been teased by then, I wont attend an event until July. At the very latest I would assume the trucks will show up at the Colorado event in August. I have seen the new...
Drcarmaker definitely seems to know what hes talking about, but also mentioned Toyota could change the date. Perhaps the teaser your talking about it April? What I do suspect is this truck will be shown at the Overland Expo events this year. The Sequoia was at the May event in Flagstaff last...
If this new Tacoma sits like a car, and still needs chopped up to fit a 33 I will be seriously considering a Gladiator. I wouldn't trust it as much as my Toyota, but I want to support companies that support what I want in a vehicle.
I notice to the right of the shifter the material is bulged upward. I really, really hope that's a manual 4wd shifter. At least in the top 4wd models. If Toyota is truly chasing the 4wd scene again, this would be a big step.
EDIT: I was referring to the wheel wells, not the truck
They look longer. I guess we wont know for a little while, but even making the truck fit 33s without hacking up stuff would be cool. They pay attention though. Id be willing to bet the 33 can fit without cutting. They are getting ready to...
Called it! They have to allow bigger tires to be competitive. They will likely never sell it with big tires, but 30% if their customers are modifying so they want to remain relevant I would assume.
Truck looks good, looks exactly like the EV that was shown last year. Imagine that...
The hybrid wont be MPG focused though, likely for power gains like the Tundra. They need to compete with the new high output Ranger Raptor and the ZR2. No doubt it will get a little better than the current gen, but not by much I can't imagine.
Awesome reply! I am one of those Youtubers, and I do my very best to visually label segments as "Hopes and Dreams" or "Rumors" and never claim to know what's actually happening, just opinions for fun and I state it that way. Its fun to imagine what could be coming, and I also like to mention...
