I wondered and thought about driving down there, but I doubt it. Launching what Jeep guys call "the king of 33's" at a Jeep event wouldnt do much for Toyota I dont think. Bronco did it though, so who knows.

Toyota is well known for not giving discounts like other manufactures. Its usually sticker price or more, take it or leave it kind of a thing.

If this new Tacoma sits like a car, and still needs chopped up to fit a 33 I will be seriously considering a Gladiator. I wouldn't trust it as much as my Toyota, but I want to support companies that support what I want in a vehicle.

I notice to the right of the shifter the material is bulged upward. I really, really hope that's a manual 4wd shifter. At least in the top 4wd models. If Toyota is truly chasing the 4wd scene again, this would be a big step.

The hybrid wont be MPG focused though, likely for power gains like the Tundra. They need to compete with the new high output Ranger Raptor and the ZR2. No doubt it will get a little better than the current gen, but not by much I can't imagine.
