Unless things have changed the safety orgs recommend the child seat be in the middle anyway. Would be nice if toyota had supplied anchors for the middle seat though instead you have to use the seatbell system.

I saw this as well. The floor mats for the manual may have a different shape to accommodate the clutch pedal. Hard to say if that really is an appreciable difference in shape. Would be good if they at least included a picture of them.
