  1. TSB: 2024 Tacoma Transmission Failures Issue & Replacement (9/9/24). Updated w/ VIN Lookup Tool

My truck is a Canadian vehicle and it falls into the ranges and prefix's so it'd apply to Canada... wonder in Canada if a cold snap is what's going to get the ball rolling on these transmissions.
  2. TSB: 2024 Tacoma Transmission Failures Issue & Replacement (9/9/24). Updated w/ VIN Lookup Tool

Clarity on what a TSB is. It's a technical service bulletin, that means if the symptoms do not show up, transmission does not get replaced. It's only if there is symptoms. No symptoms or issues no replace. That doesn't mean it doesn't turn into a recall at some point in the future. A recall is...
  3. At TUXMAT today for prototype floor mats fitment!

I'm going to gamble and work with the OE winter mats that came with the truck and hope they work out until the Tuxmats are available. They are cheaper, and many say they work better. We don't usually see too much snow until December .... so hoping if I am careful, should be okay to wait for the...

  7. Discovered an annoying safety feature

  8. My first Toyota in 30 years and I got a lemon - 2024 Tacoma [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

while it sucks, it’s a machine. truck (see what at I did there… truck not a car) still runs. Toyotas response seems pretty reasonable to me. I’m sure they have some bigger customer issues than your fuel door and fuel sender light on. Maybe an engine or a transmission issue. See Toyota corporate...
  9. Muslogy glove box divider installed - video

I tried one - for me doesn't work. It rattled, and when you put your hand in it (like to get that small yellow thing you put in the middle divider) and take your hand out, your hand gets caught on the divider sides as you take your hand out from what you were retrieving, the whole divider slides...
  10. OTA Updates

Shows different updates in the truck on the screen two screen photos showing different software versions, as you scroll through them there is multiple different versions, that’s just an example of two.
  11. OTA Updates

I've been able to see in the vehicle settings a list of updates that have been done on my Tacoma. Does anyone know how to see what date the update was done, and whether it was for infotainment or for one of the powertrain ECU’s. Iā€˜ve read conflicting articles, one says OTA firmware updates are...
  12. Tacoma 4WD Systems & Drivetrain Technologies Explained by Toyota

Here’s the thing. There’s more people who have bought these sorts of vehicles with zero knowledge of how their 4WD system works, than there are of legit 4WD vibrations complaints at the dealerships service counter. #1 problem always for 4WD vibrations on dry pavement is not from driving in a...
  13. Tacoma 4WD Systems & Drivetrain Technologies Explained by Toyota

Well you do you. It’s not what the video says. Part time 4WD should not be used on dry pavement. Period. You should review the video at the 3:00 minute mark. Pretty evident from Toyotas video they disagree with you. heres some other videos and video saying the same thing. You should also review...
  14. Tacoma 4WD Systems & Drivetrain Technologies Explained by Toyota

NO! I think you are smart!! More educated than most who buy these trucks! There sure is something to be said for having the auto mode. And yes Limited gets it. Set it and forget it, let the system do it's thing. Surprised Toyota only does it on the limited, and not the premium trims as well. So...
  15. Rough Country Hard Flip Up Tonneau Cover installed on Tacoma TRD Pro

Wow, total confusion on this post due to lack of context asking does it cover the camera ??ā€ā™‚ļø. Hence my cheeky answer that it just covered the bed.
  16. Tacoma 4WD Systems & Drivetrain Technologies Explained by Toyota

Not sure if this has made it to the forum yet. Great video from Toyota on the 4WD systems. Seems many are buying Tacomas and posting about vibrations on dry pavement as they are simply not familiar with what they bought. Good on Toyota for educating customers and potential buyers. Toyota's 4WD...
