  1. Mall Crawlers Stand Up! - I'll be the Lightning rod for the hate, but please, also some advice.

Alright, I am going to try really hard not to dive into a full technical rant...... Lift is either achieved by a stiffer spring, more preload on the spring, or lengthening the spring assembly (assuming that all other suspension parts remain unchanged). A top spacer lengthens the spring/shock...
  2. intake for 42 usd?

    That's not for a 4th Gen Tacoma, it's for a 1st Gen with a 2rz engine.
  3. Interior mod - what to do with the side slot?!

Sunglasses in the side slot - I have large ones that go over my prescription eyeglasses. They don't really fit anywhere else. A 6' USB cable lives in the overhead sunglass holder. My phone rests face-down, upside down, between the Qi charger and the 12v socket. It's a Pixel 8 Pro and since it...
  4. Installing MTM on a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road?

Scour the parts diagrams and see what the descriptions say about the applicable trucks/packages.
  5. Installing MTM on a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road?

I forgot that the 14" JBL system could be included without the Premium Package! Now the big question is which wire harnesses your truck has. This could be much easier than I thought.
  6. Installing MTM on a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road?

You are going to need to pore over all of the electrical parts diagrams to find parts that are specific to the TRD w/ Premium package. The MTM runs on the 14" display, which then requires a full retrofit of the entire audio system to JBL spec. Then all of the wire harnesses that are unique to...
  7. Installing MTM on a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road?

We could pull all the part numbers and find every part you need, but... It will be cheaper, easier, and quicker to sell your truck and buy one with the TRD Premium Package. Seriously. The only other option would be to find a wrecked TRD with the premium package and pull all the parts you need...
  8. 2024 Hitch Skids

Most hitch skids are boat anchors that will hang up much sooner, and probably cause more issues than they prevent. After a quick Google search the best low profile option I could find was the 41.22 recovery point with a small skid built in. https://a.co/d/4GKCXhT...
  9. Always-On Prewired AUX Mod for 4th Gen Tacoma

I'm interested to learn more, but I'm not going to watch a video about it. Can you post the information?
  10. Adding Stickers to Rear Window??

No stickers go on my truck. But I have a killer sticker collage under the lid of my oldest rolling tool box. It's at least two layers thick by now.
  11. BF Goodrich All Terrain replacing Stock Generals

That's a pretty big size jump so you may rub at stock height. https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=265-65r18-285-70r18 Your gearing will be off by 6.8% and your transmission will hunt for gears more on hills, or while loaded. Odometer will be off by the same amount. Speedo will likely be...
  12. Door Drain Hole Plugs, Why?

I looked them up - part number 67837-47060. They are supposed to allow water to drain under them. If your truck is parked outside, either frequent drain cleaning or removal of these covers will probably be needed.
  13. Door Drain Hole Plugs, Why?

Can you take a pic of the other side? (See next post - I found it) They usually allow passage of water, but provide some sealing against dust and bugs from getting in. Perhaps yours were clogged.
  14. Found under my 24 Tacoma- Help identifying

I'm 99.9% sure that's not from any Toyota. Toyota is very consistent with their hardware and plugs, and that looks like nothing I've ever seen. Especially with a slot. I did a quick Google image search and it could be a Primary Drive fill cap from a motorcycle, perhaps a BSA or Triumph.
  15. Wave Maker is the new 2026 Tacoma TRD Pro Color [Video Added]

Well that's.... Something. ? It's definitely a polarizing color. I doubt anyone will be neutral about it!
  16. Premium Fuel or Regular

I run 92, and I mostly notice the power delivery improvement. Less chuggy in the low revs especially. Fuel economy hasn't noticably changed but my driving has been really inconsistent which makes it hard to get a baseline. The dyno tests have proven a power increase, so the ECU is obviously...
  17. [Muslogy] We Want to Hear From You! New Cargo Net Design in the Works

That's an OEM net from his 4runner. Our RAV4 came with a smaller version of the same thing.
  18. [Muslogy] We Want to Hear From You! New Cargo Net Design in the Works

No, this is a bad idea. Bed bolts are Torque To Yield AKA stretch bolts. Once removed, they need to be trashed and replaced with new bolts. Reusing them WILL cause them to loosen over time and in this case it will cause bed rattles.
  19. Limitations to factory AUX buttons?

Yep. Easy peasy. Get a quality relay harness with a socket, and a quality brand name relay (not some cheap China junk), and you can just use butt connectors between the relay harness, aux plug, ground wire to a bolt in the engine bay (a bracket on the inner fender works well), and a power wire...
  20. Limitations to factory AUX buttons?

The owner's manual lists the current capacity of each Aux Switch circuit. I would stay under 80% of that value. If you want to use that switch for more current, use the Aux Switch circuit to actuate a relay that is fed straight from the battery.
