I picked up my manual TRD OR yesterday and I’m very pleased with the manual transmission. Once figured out where the shift points should be it was very smooth. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a manual in a personal vehicle, but I used to drive an 18 speed for a living so the longer engagement of...
That looks really good. I was actually contemplating this size as well with that same offset. I do plan on off-roading and that looks really close to the fender wells. Might be better with a level?
Either way, I think that tire size is perfect on stock height. Any rubbing with that offset? Which is also perfect in my mind. Love the bronze wheels with the bronze oxide colour.
Well done!
Interesting, thanks for the replies. I was going to have the tire shop put the level kit in when I went to put on new wheels and tires and get an alignment done all in one shot.
Yeah that looks much better. Still has some rake too. Thanks for posting that. I want to put winter tires on the stock rims in the stock size with a 1.5” level and was curious how the stock size would look.
I’m debating on the Rough Country level because it’s half the price of the ReadyLift...
That looks great! Strongly considering going with the RT Duratracs on the stock wheels. The new RTs look like they might even be better in the winter than the OG Duratrac.
I don’t disagree with any of that. Time will tell. On the bright side, I don’t see that being a terribly difficult piece to upgrade should it need a recall.
I would strongly reconsider a 0 offset wheel with 33” tires, that will be a lot of poke. And depending on how you use the you could run into issues with rubbing.
Reading on Tacoma World it sounds like the guys that cracked the top hat hit a pothole in the desert doing 60mph. I knew a guy with a 1st gen Tundra and he had 250k on it (this was years ago) and the only repair he ever made to the thing was when his wife hit a big pothole on the highway. I’m...
I’m not saying I agree with the design, but if there is a silver lining, this eliminates one of the primary downsides of a spacer levelling kit. If the bump stop is integral to the shock, then if you install a spacer lift, you don’t have to worry about extending your frame mounted bump stop to...
I didn’t ready the whole thread, but no, not losing interest. There are good dealers out there. I’m paying whatever it says on the build feature on toyota.ca.
I put a deposit down May 29th. First time I heard a delivery date was in Feb for Mar 9-19. They called yesterday saying that it should arrive between Apr 1-5 now.
I’m also in AB, and in Feb my delivery date was Mar 9-19. My dealer called me yesterday saying it will be Apr 1-5. It feels real this time, I haven’t seen any in the wild yet.
That looks great! I was thinking +25 might have too much poke, but I think the fender flares on the Off-road are wider than the SR5. I wouldn’t hesitate to use that offset when my OR comes in.
Yeah the new generation is new to everyone else as well. We’re all still figuring what will work best. Mine was supposed to be here last week. Crickets from my dealer.
