The front bump stops are now integral to the shock. This is new for ā24, so thatās correct, there are no frame mounted bump stops in the 4th gen.
Edit:
I should clarify, my experience is with the Off Road model.
Alright @Goriders @n118nw apologies for the delay, here are the stamps on the back of my TRD Off-road wheels 17x7.5 and thereās a 55 which Iām assuming is the offset, based on what Iāve read, but thereās also a 66. Not sure what the 66 means.
My experience is similar to the poster above. The cloth is very comfy and I really like not having to deal with the temperature extremes. I donāt mind leather either, but seat material is pretty far down my list when it comes to purchasing factors. The cloth is good to go though.
Yeah I can confirm on my Off Road that the skid plate is not metal, itās some form of laminated composite. Itās not plastic though, looks much more durable than plastic.
If I was to guess Iād say the TRD grille is what comes standard on the Off-road and Sport, which is a different grille than what the SR and SR5 (non-TRD trims) get.
Horses for courses. Which course do you want your truck for? āBestā as you put it, is subjective. I said this in a thread yesterday. What has better suspension, a Peterbilt or a Ferrari?
I used this tool https://www.customwheeloffset.com/tire-wheel-backspacing-offset-calculators quite a bit when I was shopping for wheels. By the calculations my wheels are out 1.59ā further than stock resulting just slightly more poke than I was hoping, but given the chance Iād still go with...
So it doesnāt appear wheel poke is the problem since this guy has stock wheels. Better mud flap coverage would help, as would some paint protection film.
I didnāt bother switching them over. The price of everything was already getting up there and I plan to be airing up and down semi regularly so Iāll be checking them manually quite a bit so I decided I didnāt need the extra cost of TPMS sensors. The stock TPMS will be staying with the stock...
Donāt get me wrong, I love the functionality of the Method bead grip, but yeah, it seems theyāre already overdone. A couple reasons swayed me over to these Fast HDs.
1. Hubcentric
2. Narrower and lighter
3. Looks
4. Slightly better price here in Canada.
