  1. Wish List for Future Software Upgrades

My Apple Carplay connects fine except if I remote start the truck. Toyota needs to fix the issue with music not pausing when using Siri for hands free tasks. In my F150 the music pauses, the A/C turns down to be more quiet, etc. In my Tacoma, the music stays at full volume while Siri is...
  2. 2024 Tacoma Software Anomalies

I've been driving my truck for a few days now and I also have the TPMS issue. My biggest complaint though is the way Siri functions with Apple Carplay. In my F150 when you use Siri to send a text or search for a place to navigate to (hands free), it mutes/pauses the music so that you can...
  3. Safety Sense & Automatic Car Wash?

Has anyone taken their Tacoma through an automatic car wash? If so, did you have to turn anything off in the Toyota safety sense settings? Where I live, we have those automatic washes where you put your car in neutral and they guide you through on a conveyor. My fear is that I'm going to get...
  4. Radar Detector - MirrorTap and BlendMount on Digital Rearview Mirror?

Thanks for the picture. I sent it to BlendMount's customer service email and they said neither will work on the 2024 Tacoma due to the stem design. They're currently developing a product for the 2024 but it won't be available for a couple of months.
  5. Radar Detector - MirrorTap and BlendMount on Digital Rearview Mirror?

I'm ordering a BlendMount before my truck arrives, so can anyone confirm what the mirror stem looks like with the premium package? Based on some youtube videos I've watched I'm pretty sure it's the first one: TOY-000 TOY-005
  6. Toyota Extra Care Platinum Warranty Prices

Thanks for posting this information. This gives me a lot to think about. I'm currently averaging almost 20k miles per year. This almost makes me want to go with a shorter year range but higher mileage. Maybe 7yr/125k instead of 10yr/100k.
  7. Hard Tonneau Cover with Power Tailgate?

I want the Revolver X4s but I'm also concerned about whether or not it will work with the power tailgate. I personally like rolling covers more than the folding covers.
  8. Choice Between Hybrid and Non-Hybrid Gasoline: What Influenced Your Decision?

When the hybrid was first announced, I was excited about buying a truck that would get significantly better fuel economy. But then Toyota released the fuel economy ratings and the hybrid just isn't that much better. I would appreciate the extra power, but it still wasn't worth an extra $5k in...
  9. New member. KO3 Tires + Spacer Lift So Far

Nice truck! What are the specs on your tires and wheels? Leveling kit?
  10. Trailhunter Skid Plate fit other models? Aftermarket air dam?

I’ve only seen pictures online, but I don’t think you lose the recovery points. See this thread: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/victory-4x4-front-skid-plate-installed.5099/
  11. Viair 88P Tire inflator

Connecting it to your battery isn't going to hurt anything. Leave the engine idling. It looks like they have a newer version that can plug into the 7-pin trailer connector on the rear bumper instead of directly to the battery...
  12. Trailhunter Skid Plate fit other models? Aftermarket air dam?

Victory4x4 has a skid plate that attaches to the front recovery mounts and does not need or use the crossmember @Victory 4x4
  13. Decked Drawer System On Trailhunter?

There are a lot of pictures and info in this thread: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/decked-midsize-drawer-for-2024-tacoma-power-accessory-bed-5-bed-yt9-installed-photos.5343/ Based on the pictures, it looks to me like there might not be clearance for the air hose connection.
  14. Going from full size to 2024 Tacoma?

I'm downsizing from a 2018 F150 to a 2024 Tacoma and I also share your concerns. Before the F150 I only owned Toyota midsize pickups, but with three kids in carseats the F150 just made sense. 5 years later and my kids are no longer in carseats and we've bought my wife a Ford Expedition Max and...
  15. First 550mi trip in 24 Sport

Here's a simple explanation: Basically an engine needs air, fuel, and spark to run. A turbocharger forces more air into the engine, which then can allow more fuel to enter the engine. More air + more fuel = more power (more combustion).
  16. HAM and GMRS Radio Installs in 4th gen Tacoma -- Post Your Setups

Nice setup! Forgive my ignorance, but why would you need three radios? I imagine you must be using them for different things. I haven't dabbled with HAM or GMRS but I've always been curious and it looks like it could be a fun hobby.
  17. Lasfit's New Floor Mats Launch: Still Looking for Automatic / Manual Version?

Are they a stiffer material like the Weathertechs or soft rubber like Husky Liners?
