  1. TRD Pro Front Skid Plate installed w/ Trailhunter Transfer Case Skid Plate on TRD Off-Road

Looks good! So the rear one goes all the way to the cross member? I have the sway bar disconnect, so I have a steel skid that goes about half way. I did the TH skid in front and a TH diff skid. Wondering if I should complete the package or if the Sway bar disconnect skid is enough.
  2. Purpose of rear locker in 4wd only?

You are on the right track. Think of it like this, the power always follows the path of least resistance. Toyota has a lot of traction control systems (A-TRAC but in the background) that try to mitigate this which is one of the reasons these trucks are so great offroad even in the lower trims...
  3. BROKE MY TRUCK (ADD? Same issue as TFL?)

My truck is also missing the "deep snow" mts mode in 4L, was removing this mode Toyota's fix? Maybe some trucks slipped through without the update, Op's vid looked exactly like TFL's break, beat for beat.
  4. For the first time, Ford trucks are more reliable than the Tacoma. So are Ram. So are Chevy.

You are just trolling, you have contributed nothing tangible and are being argumentative for no real reason. This article was already linked and discused. Mods, do your thang
  5. El Taco [Operation: Not A Build] - 2024 TRD Off-Road Journal

Had an 05 4Runner with the 2-UZ in it, glad know i'm not just gaslighting myself that this truck is ? Great write up!
  6. Black Lug Nuts standard on TRD OR?

Picked my OR up with silver lug nuts in so cal. Although it doesn't bother me, goes well witht the contrast of the silver edge.
  7. Can I change the default drive mode?

Can @carista get on this? lol
  8. Video: Why the peasantry HATE the 2024 Tacoma 4th gen

The Yota's are a little pricy however they hold vaule exceptionly well, 2nd only to the Porsche 911 (i'm not joking lol). Reliability is one of toyota's big selling points but your right, the jurry is still out. However for what it's worth, the engine seems well engineered and over built. Very...
  9. Things that should be standard no-brainer things Toyota didn't do for all Trim levels

Big agree on point 5. Would be so nice to lock/unlock the tailgate without pulling out my key. Also on point 1, was also a minor gripe of mine. Good write up.
  10. 20 HP / 14 lb-ft torque gain from 91 Octane gas on Tacoma Gas Engine 2.4 i-Force (dyno tested by Stillen)

Did the same thing, noticed some more umph after my first fill up as well, the motor seemed to run smoother/quieter. These numbers line up with my butt dyno lol
  11. 20 HP / 14 lb-ft torque gain from 91 Octane gas on Tacoma Gas Engine 2.4 i-Force (dyno tested by Stillen)

Yeah I totally agree 87 is completely safe, the Toyota engineers know their stuff. Just thought the power increase without any tune was notable.
  12. 20 HP / 14 lb-ft torque gain from 91 Octane gas on Tacoma Gas Engine 2.4 i-Force (dyno tested by Stillen)

According to STILLEN (@RoelStillen) Dyno Testing. 14 torque gain as well ? 87 vs. 91 Octane Fuel: STILLEN’s Kyle Millen reveals how fuel octane impacts the Tacoma’s 2.4L turbo engine, showing a 20-horsepower gain with premium fuel. Learn about octane ratings, real-world dyno results, fuel...
  13. Toyota ARB Bed Rack PT989-35241 (5FT) ordered

I may be ignorant to something here, but if all that labor is just for the third brake light to work, I'd go ahead and skip on that.
  14. TRD Sport vs Off Road? What are the actual true differences?

One thing I can think of is the Offroad comes with an additional crossmember that the Pro and TH get "for increased strength and damage resistance" but is mainly releavnt becasue it lets you bolt on a TRD Pro or Trailhunter Skid Plate.
  15. Composite skid plates upgraded to steel Trailhunter skids (on my 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road)

Made the same upgrade, love the little easter eggs of the old Yotas and it seems pretty quality. I would like to make note for future upgraders, if you have the sway bar disconnect option, the trailhunter skid will sit on top of the swaybar's steel skid and bolt in. I don't know if this is how...
  16. TFL comments on Toyota issues

They have some good points with the many recalls and such but what manufacture is recall free espically in this day and age. Toyota is commited to making a quality product, there hasn't been a generation of these any of these trucks without a recall. Toyota will make it right, they always do...
  17. New Tires: BF Goodrich K03 285/70R17 on stock 2024 TRD Off-Road

Looks good! Stuck between these and falkland wildpeak a/t4ws for my OR
  18. Amazing what a tint, tires, and chin tuck will do to these trucks (265/70 R18 Falken Wildpeak A/T4 installed)

Oh I initially read this as 285/70R17, maybe I will just got with this set up instead. It looks great and causes no issues.
  19. Amazing what a tint, tires, and chin tuck will do to these trucks (265/70 R18 Falken Wildpeak A/T4 installed)

Looks good! Planning on doing the exact same thing soon, no rubbing or anything? Thanks!
  20. Non Hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Real World Towing Report, Impressions & Features

It gets mentioned in towing video that the transmission temperature was not an issue, the gentlemen who made the video mentioned that some people were having problems with overheating trasmissions when offroading and such. So someone linked that video. I was just explaining to you why it was...
