Looks good! So the rear one goes all the way to the cross member? I have the sway bar disconnect, so I have a steel skid that goes about half way. I did the TH skid in front and a TH diff skid. Wondering if I should complete the package or if the Sway bar disconnect skid is enough.
You are on the right track. Think of it like this, the power always follows the path of least resistance. Toyota has a lot of traction control systems (A-TRAC but in the background) that try to mitigate this which is one of the reasons these trucks are so great offroad even in the lower trims...
My truck is also missing the "deep snow" mts mode in 4L, was removing this mode Toyota's fix? Maybe some trucks slipped through without the update, Op's vid looked exactly like TFL's break, beat for beat.
You are just trolling, you have contributed nothing tangible and are being argumentative for no real reason. This article was already linked and discused. Mods, do your thang
The Yota's are a little pricy however they hold vaule exceptionly well, 2nd only to the Porsche 911 (i'm not joking lol). Reliability is one of toyota's big selling points but your right, the jurry is still out. However for what it's worth, the engine seems well engineered and over built. Very...
Big agree on point 5. Would be so nice to lock/unlock the tailgate without pulling out my key. Also on point 1, was also a minor gripe of mine. Good write up.
Did the same thing, noticed some more umph after my first fill up as well, the motor seemed to run smoother/quieter. These numbers line up with my butt dyno lol
According to STILLEN (@RoelStillen) Dyno Testing. 14 torque gain as well ?

One thing I can think of is the Offroad comes with an additional crossmember that the Pro and TH get "for increased strength and damage resistance" but is mainly releavnt becasue it lets you bolt on a TRD Pro or Trailhunter Skid Plate.
Made the same upgrade, love the little easter eggs of the old Yotas and it seems pretty quality. I would like to make note for future upgraders, if you have the sway bar disconnect option, the trailhunter skid will sit on top of the swaybar's steel skid and bolt in. I don't know if this is how...
They have some good points with the many recalls and such but what manufacture is recall free espically in this day and age. Toyota is commited to making a quality product, there hasn't been a generation of these any of these trucks without a recall. Toyota will make it right, they always do...
It gets mentioned in towing video that the transmission temperature was not an issue, the gentlemen who made the video mentioned that some people were having problems with overheating trasmissions when offroading and such. So someone linked that video. I was just explaining to you why it was...
