  1. Screenprotech Email Hacked

Screenprotech had their email hacked and are sending out phishing links. I got one last night.
  2. 2025 Tacoma TRD Sport Driver's door randomly locks

Sounds like something is stuck in the mechanism that unlocks it when you put it in park is my guess. All the other doors are unlocking, and when you get out the handle is overriding the driver door lock, and when you close the door it is still locked. Either that or the manual lock (not the...
  3. Mudflaps for Trailhunter?

Good to know. I hadn't seen the Trailhunter specific threads. Was just going off what the manufacturer said.
  4. Mudflaps for Trailhunter?

Unfortunately those say they don't fit the Trailhunter. I imagine it's due to the wider fender flares.
  5. Heritage Bronze is not 4T0 color code (touch up paint) ... so what is it?

Pretty sure the bronze oxide body color is not the same as the bronze accents on the Trailhunter. Are you suggesting that they are the same or are they both called bronze oxide?
  6. Switching between two sets of wheels and tires

It only voids the warranty if they can prove that the modification was the cause of the damage. However, if you have a terrible service center they may take a little more convincing and it may be more trouble than it's worth. But unless you're trying to stuff 37s or bigger in there they probably...
  7. Bed 120v outlet questions

Did they only use the same inverter tech as last gen for the non-hybrids? I know on the hybrids it's a pure sign wave and I haven't heard of anyone, myself included, having any issues charging battery banks. I even found someone saying their Jackery of the same model as OP worked great.
  8. Bed 120v outlet questions

I'm assuming it's attempting to pull too many watts and tripping something. Not sure about the Jackery but you can limit the charge wattage of many battery banks through their app.
  9. Dashcam Hardwire w/o Fuse Box *ALMOST* as easy as Dongar

I have it on whatever the highest cutoff is for the Viofo adapter. Can't recall off hand. The only thing I can say is make sure you don't have the constant and ignition 12V swapped. If it's just recoding and not going into parking mode it sounds like that could be it. May need to take a...
  10. Seat Covers for Trailhunter?

I've looked around as well but decided against any covers because I think the ventilated seats wouldn't work very well. Being in Florida i use them constantly.
  11. How to turn off active steering assist when not in Cruise Control?

You can press the lane tracing button on the steering wheel. I think long pressing may disable it while in CC but I cannot recall. Edit: I think I might have misunderstood. There is lane departure and also lane tracing assist. You might be turning off lane departure and not tracing. I believe...
  12. Dashcam Hardwire w/o Fuse Box *ALMOST* as easy as Dongar

Something wasn't quite right there. I'd recommend the prewired plug because these ones are hard to pin yourself. I could definitely see a short causing some weird behavior. Might want to check the option fuse to be sure that didn't blow. I think I've linked the wiring diagram earlier in this post.
  13. Dashcam Hardwire w/o Fuse Box *ALMOST* as easy as Dongar

So when it runs, is it recording, just not to the parking mode folder? Sounds like maybe the 12v constant and the 12v ignition might be swapped, so it's seeing the constant as the ignition so it doesn't know to switch to parking mode.
  14. Dashcam Hardwire w/o Fuse Box *ALMOST* as easy as Dongar

Is the camera turning off as soon as you turn off the truck and open the door?
  15. Dashcam Hardwire w/o Fuse Box *ALMOST* as easy as Dongar

If it is staying on at all, I'd assume it is a settings issue. Especially check the parking mode. If you have it on auto detect, there may not be anything it considers recordable (motion, sound, vibration). Maybe try one of the other setting like low bitrate or time lapse just to see if it's...
  16. Dashcam Hardwire w/o Fuse Box *ALMOST* as easy as Dongar

Glad it worked well for you! WAGOS are great. Just make sure they're the ones rated for the smaller 20-22 AWG wire and you'll be golden. Because they're spring actuated they should be more immune to heat cycles and vibration. I use them in industrial settings all the time. I only recommend...
  17. What is this uncovered plug ?

That's the rear AUX plug. It is unpowered. One of the wiring harnesses you should have gotten is to plug A into C which sends power to the rear. I believe it sends the 15A/AUX1, but you could rewire it if you want.
  18. New Wireless car play/ Android auto issue requires being wired

Haven't had that on my truck but I just had it in a rental car Rav4. I went into Bluetooth on the car and forgot the phone, then reconnected Bluetooth only without plugging in the cable and wireless worked again.
  19. Drive by Wire Throttle Explained by Jason Cammisa

Didn't watch the video but an easy way to understand it is RPM and load are both important to milage. In a lower gear you might be at a higher RPM but the engine is under less load and requires less fuel to maintain that RPM. Think shifting to a lower gear when pedaling a bike, you'll pedal...
  20. Dashcam Hardwire w/o Fuse Box *ALMOST* as easy as Dongar

Thanks! Always happy to get technical. Your posts and willingness to explain things outside of your own product have been super helpful and informative. Something that could be convenient but maybe not feasible or reasonable would be producing a more universal adapter with pigtails instead of...
