As far as I have seen the alternator has only been added to the 2025 trucks that have the AUX switches. The 2025 has 4 unlike the 24 that only has 3.
Seeing as how they only added it along with the AUX packages and not to all 2025s I'd be willing to bet they're more concerned about...
The liner is pretty anti-Velcro. You'd probably need to hang something up or put something on your visors if you want patches. Seen a few add the cargo netting over the back seats and add Velcro there. Same with seat organizers on the back of the front seats.
I have the powered seat and haven't had any creaks or rattles. I wouldn't expect it on the manual seats either. Not a complaint I've heard before so I'd definitely be curious if one of the latches isn't catching properly and allowing some play. Maybe incorrect assembly? I'd honestly take it in...
Mine are the same. Yesterday was actually the first time I noticed it say "updating setting" or something like that but it only took 4 or 5 seconds and it didn't even interrupt the song that was playing. Have not had any issues with the infotainment or the gauge cluster. Everything is the way I...
This is starting to seem like the most likely answer.
If the M/G isn't charging the 12v system constantly then I guess I could see a situation where you could park the truck at a low point in the charge cycle and have issues.
But if they're only added to 25s with the AUX switches I'm leaning...
I'm no petroleum engineer but it sounds like the thicker oil is to compensate for possible manufacturing or machining errors.
If they're confident in the machining and manufacturing on the Tacoma engines, a thicker oil wouldn't be helpful or optimal.
Or the cynical take is they're sticking...
Seems like a good, simple, utility vehicle. Love the lack of frills. It's like the EV version of the Toyota Champ if we could get it in the US.
I hope they do well and are actually good vehicles. Maybe this philosophy will catch on. It could definitely have a thriving aftermarket scene.
Hard to know beyond that without knowing what went wrong. Possibly one of the connectors above the mirror came loose during install? Otherwise worse case is the 12v shorted to neutral and fried something.
Without knowing what went wrong I'd check all the fuses and then probably take it in to...
It's either ECU-B or ECU-DCC depending on your build date. Could also be ECU-IGR.
And in case this isn't obvious, take out what you plugged into the dome light camera connector. Something is not wired right.
It's not wrong, it's just regurgitating the hybrid explanation. Not terribly helpful though because it doesn't actually say anything about the alternator that isn't just defining what an alternator does.
So since you have an alternator, does the manual have anything to say about it? Because my 24 does not have an alternator and obviously does not say anything about it in the manual. The hybrid system isn't really the confusion. The question is, why does the 25 have an alternator if the 24 didn't...
Also a US 2024 Trailhunter with a November build date. No alternator. Maybe a 24/25 split? Maybe US/Canada? As I said in another post there could be a couple reasons for deciding to utilize an alternator. Or it could just be that they wanted to run the hybrid and non hybrid motors through the...
It's pretty obviously intended. There are a few possible reasons people have mentioned. Could be the primary mode of charging for the 12v system, could be a secondary mode of charging should the hybrid system fail. Could simply be for providing supplementary power while the engine is running for...
Something is wrong if it can't sit for more than a couple days. You have some sort of parasitic draw. Mine regularly sits for a week or more at a time in the airport parking lot.
I have heard of people using the app to remote start their truck every now and then if they're away for a month or...
