So, an update for those not on the call, and are keeping score. The gentleman I spoke with mentioned that they have confirmed fitment for a wide variety of trim levels, and that the pictures of mine don't match anything they have. The thought occurred to me, I have a Limited Hybrid, it's the...
I'm so jealous. I've been to Marfa and have seen the mystery lights. Some day I'll venture to BBNP, but a 10 hour trip one way is a hurdle. I live through you vicariously.
If AWE can't get this right, I give up. Between the Magnaflow and this, I'm beyond frustrated. Not to mention my wife's ribbing is breaking me.
I loosened the first three clamps, and tried to wiggle things down, no luck. I took some little airbags I had and pushed the system down, wiggling and shaking. I achieved a gap but lost the seal on the first clamp location. Used a clamp to just get the seal on the expanded end closed by a few...
Indeed, in fact I had to use a 5 foot Irwin pistol grip clamp to squeeze all the sections together to get the pipes bottomed out on the pipe flairs. There is no way I can get it to slide forward anymore than it is. The pipe that is touching is the second pipe back from the catalytic converter...
I finally got the two pipes from AWE keeping me from installing their system. Everything fits; however, it contacts some plastic on the front of the transfer case? I have no clue if it's really a concern, but I assume it is. I'll admit that I'm exhausted and tired of plucking with it. I'll...
I have not had an OTAU on my Taco yet, but with other vehicles it usually pops up on the display, with an accept button. I've had OTAU's on other vehicles well past the warranty, so it shouldn't depend on subscriptions. Unless Toyota doesn't play by the same rules as other manufactures.
My rear passenger keeps losing more pressure than the other 3, a very slow leak possibly. The TPMS was alerting over a few PSI. I could have sworn I changed the pressure it alerts at. I don't recall if it was in the speedo settings, or with the scanner that can change the hidden options. Next...
My cover was already installed, all I had to do was just as Victory 4x4 just said, loosen the bolts and slide the MOLLE panel brackets underneath. There was a tonneau cover bracket in the way of one bolt for me, but considering the bracket could have been installed anywhere along the rail, it...
Well it survived a short trash haul, and I gotta say it sounds awesome at idle.
Great low burble.
Give it a little beans though, and it sounds like a 1993 Honda Civic with an aftermarket exhaust.
The Taco isn't my primary vehicle, so I was trying not to make more work for my self. At this point if I would have put the OEM back on after every failure, I would have uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times now between Magnaflow and AWE. :curse:
Thanks for the insight with the hybrid...
The install manual shows different part numbers than what I received for the first two parts. Everything else matches. The manual shows the first two pieces are G44 and G45. I received G30 and G31. I called them last Wednesday, and was told I got an old set, they revised it after the hybrids...
