@tacorancher Good idea about the wheels being straight - I'm pretty sure that would affect the front end. @james cole's difference is in the back, so it is probably not as important, not that I am a suspension engineer.
I just checked my truck, which is sitting on my very level garage floor. I measured to the bottom of the fender flair at the wheel center and there is a slight difference from side to side. In the front the driver's side is just 1/16" lower that the passenger side. In the rear the driver's side...
When Toyota was an underdog in the car/truck market they had to try harder and give every vehicle they built a lot of features. Now that they are the top dog I guess they have abandoned that. Over the years I have watched a steady stream of decontenting withToyota products from entry level to...
That is an interesting question @james cole. My truck appears to be even in ride height, but I have not measured it.
When I put coilovers on a car I started by measuring the OEM ride height and found that it sat lower on the driver's side. Posting on a forum revealed that uneven height was...
This is different than just a loud clunk when engaging reverse or drive. The first time my truck did it I stopped to see if I had backed over something in the parking lot. It sounded like my transmission case had been high centered on a large rock and I could feel it through my seat. If...
@tddawson77 A lot of people have very similar shifts from 4th gens, and it may not really mean all that much.
My truck is within the TSB range and has had the shift into reverse from hell a few times. After about 600 miles it quit doing that and most of its other rough shifting. But just today...
OK - here is what I found this morning after about 40 miles on interstate and two lane highways, half with nothing in the bed and half with a moderate load.
With the QS3's set to "1" the ride is a little smoother, mostly because it reduces impacts from the road a bit. But for me there is a...
Yep - you would like either of the firmer setting even less.
I checked mine just now and they all came from my dealer set to "2", except for the right rear which was already at "1". Now they are at 1 and it will be interesting to see how much that changes the ride.
TRD Jon did a video where he had to take the dash apart on his Tundra and commented on how everything just snaps together and how that made working inside our trucks easy. That is what I have found too. Good luck!
A lot of the panels have connectors with pins which push into holes where they mount. The parts just pop loose when they are pried off and push back into place when you are done. I have taken lots of interiors apart for upgrade/fixes and newer Toyotas are super easy compared to the old...
I bought some cheap panel removal tools on Amazon, which makes that stuff easier and less damaging. Everything I have removed so far has been simple to do, and most panels are just push connectors that make remove/reinstall easy.
My truck came set to 2 and it is so comfortable that I haven't even tried setting 1 yet. But I'm a long time truck owner and I like a firm suspension in all my vehicles anyway, so your mileage may vary.
But from my POV the Pro has a plush ride considering it is a high performance off road...
Understood - knowing how to remove the lense is information that we probably all need to know.
I thought you had polished it and made it kind of matte but couldn't find your posts quickly.
It would be cool if the screen protect product fixed it for you.
@Jeff11 Have you tried to polish it? If you are ready to replace it you don't have much to lose, just the cost of a plastic polish. Novus worked well for me on another truck.
I need to get a screen protector on both screens before I have to deal with this too.
Yeah there are lots of reports about this since the 4th gens came out. Mine doesn't do it, probably because the A/C compressor is not belt driven in a hybrid.
Good luck - that is way too many problems in a new truck IMO.
