My truck is a 2024 Pro and I turned that crap off and it has remained off. I actually thought something was wrong with my truck's steering when I first got it. I sounds like they might have changed that for 2025 and that would be a deal breaker for me. Fingers crossed that never changes on my...
Yeah I agree just use the 6 quarts. How much oil is in the crankcase does not determine the oil pressure. Engines have a pressure relief valve built into the block which limits the max oil pressure, not the oil level. The only problem is if the crankcase is so full that the big ends run in the...
Yep - sad and I think pointless. These tariffs will probably damage both of our economies, but I think we are stuck with them. You might want to get your tires sooner rather than later.
I'm having a flashback. My wife's BEV's 12 volt went flat and her booster pack was in the hatch, which would not open without power. It is also a Toyota product so your are smart to be looking into this. The tailgate latch is probably the same way in our trucks.
I figured out how to open her...
Good question - I assumed that you could open it with the tailgate handle. My tonneau needs to be opened slightly or the tailgate stops and warns me. I have to manually move it to closed before it starts powering the tailgate. So I know you can move the tailgate, but I have never tried to...
When my tailgate gets out of spec by hitting something the manual says to manually move it to closed, so I assume that you can just pull it open, even with a dead battery.
That should be possible. Emblems like that are almost always just double taped onto the paint and you can use something like dental floss to cut under them. Then any tape residue can be removed with something like Goo Gone. All of that goes better on a hot day, which you should have in Texas...
OK - I'm with you on that and you should get it checked out.
Did your dash display show it out of 4H when it made that loud pop? If it is still flashing then it is still engaged and a tight turn would put a lot of stress on the drivetrain. I would take it to the dealer and have them check it...
Beautiful truck and the OR has nothing to be ashamed of, it is a great truck. It is the basis for the Pro and TH and lets you take it to whatever level you want.
I think it depends on where the TH wheels are made. They might be made in the US and the tariffs wouldn't apply. Tariffs are also coming on vehicles made outside the US, but I haven't heard anything about parts.
If the wheels are not made in Canada or Mexico you could probably wait, but I...
I don't understand why you need to test the 4wd.
Once it is engaged the indicator stops flashing and you are in 4wd. It behaves differently in lo and hi, as expected. But if it fails to engage 4Hi the indicator will keep flashing and that is when you need to worry. Otherwise just drive it and...
It was for me too. My Pro is the best truck I have ever owned, equally at home on the Interstate or a trail, while looking awesome.
Zero regrets here and the haters can go right ahead and hate. :)
I agree - the Raptor handles very well and is a lot of fun. It is also a screaming deal compared to the Pro.
The Raptor's downsides for me are its looks, which are kind of generic and I don't have a lot of faith in the reliability of Fords. Everytime my truck buds get together for some beers...
I watched one video from someone else who said the Pro was too specialized and that the Trailhunter was the perfect off road truck. Then he proved it by citing the things that made the TH better and every single one of them was something that is exactly the same in both trucks. lol
I picked the...
