Congrats @thesmitz - that is great news. A Bronze Oxide Taco is really pretty, which makes any damage just that much worse. I bet a lot of people learned a lesson on that one.
Yeah - same here. I usually like a smooth clean design, but Rangers are so bland that they just kind of disappear.
But the most common remark I hear about the 4th gen halos is that they look badass, and I can't argue with that.
Nice comparison!
For me the bottom line is that they are both excellent trucks. The Ford is a good bit less expensive and the Toyota will almost certainly prove more reliable over time. My other issue with the Raptor is that it is so bland, almost like an appliance, although the Raptor is the...
I agree those pictures make it look a bit odd, yet in 5 months with my truck that has never bothered me one bit. I guess with the black lugs in place it is a lot less noticable and I love that wheel design myself.
I would go with @MustardTiger's suggestion, but doing what @max911 suggests can't hurt anything and would clean off any debris from the rubber wheel.
You just have to hope that is damage to the clear coat and not areas where it is gone. Good luck and let us know what happens.
No, not really sliders, since they are mounted to the body. If they hit something hard they would probably damage the sills, but they look like sliders, make nice looking steps and would prevent a lot of chips to the sides of your truck.
To do the job of a real slider they would be mounted...
I don't understand 4th gen owners who hate their trucks because there have been a few issues. Are they aware that most other brands have far more issues than Toyota does?
If you dump your Taco because of a problem which was fixed under warranty and move to another brand, it is not going to be...
@Mightyquinn They all seem to come with the TRD Pro specific mats, at least in the US. They are nice looking but they won't protect your carpet like a good set of all weather mats do.
I have a friend, @Gfenza89 who is having the same problems and feels the same way about his truck. I think he will be able to really relate to what you said. The strange transmissions are the only really serious problem with these truck IMO, but they kind of ruin the whole experience when they...
@tacorancher I have never done any PPF on any of my previous trucks.
One of the things I love about trucks is that they are tools to do a job, and Tacomas are among the best. The dings and dents my Tundra earned while working and playing never bothered me at all, and all I did was wax it every...
That is exactly what I did. The detailer was about 40 minutes away and priced to draw business, but they did an excellent job and I am really glad I had it done.
@BOLDTACO Also in the TSB range. My truck did that for a while and then stopped, and I have no idea what that means. But right now it is fine again and I am keeping my fingers crossed. If it doesn't have any shift solenoid codes stored Toyota will not do anything about it anyway.
The fuel mileage is lower than the EPA estimates for most people, particularly for the hybrids. But for an off road truck, with this much power I think it is fine. It gets the best mileage of any truck that I have owned and the performance is amazing. If someone wants dramatically higher...
Pretty much the same story for me having come from a Tundra into a Tacoma. If I had back seat passengers on a regular basis I would probably get a Tundra, even though I much prefer a Taco overall.
If the Tacoma had been made long enough to have decent rear seat room it would not have fit in my...
