I started to, but it's a bit of a bear, and it really isn't needed. Here's a shot of the digital mirror (camera) looking through the topper after zooming in the mirror settings. You do lose some visibility.
I had my bed lights on last night. Works great. There's a window that allows the (white) light in the third brake light to shine through. You can see it here:
The lights in the bed, work fine.

If it were me, I'd use a tap-it connector in the engine bay fuse block, run it through the firewall, under the plastic below the doors, and up through the rear side pillar and headliner.
If you look at Cali Raised YouTube ditch light video, they'll show you how to get the wire through the firewall.
I traded in my 2016. I've got 5,000 on my new ride and think Toyota hit it out of the park. I've had all four generations of the Tacomas, each a step above the previous generation, but this one is much more than a step. It's yards above the third gens.
