  1. Tariffs On Products From Mexico [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, ONLY POLICY DISCUSSIONS]

Right. It's going to start a trade war and we'll end up paying for the tariffs. https://time.com/7198692/mexico-retaliatory-tariffs-trump-sheinbaum/
  2. Braking- stopping at intersections, red lights

You might ensure your spare is firmly raised up.
  3. Braking- stopping at intersections, red lights

I'm wondering if your brake pads weren't properly broken in as suggested in the manual. I assume you haven't taken it to the dealer?
  4. Braking- stopping at intersections, red lights

Shifts from the rear? What do you mean? A drive shaft bearing will make a clunk when adding acceleration, and there's no way you've got one going out.
  5. Braking- stopping at intersections, red lights

Is there something in the bed? Or under the rear seat?
  6. Anyone have or seen a Smartcap with the bed scene lighting?

I started to, but it's a bit of a bear, and it really isn't needed. Here's a shot of the digital mirror (camera) looking through the topper after zooming in the mirror settings. You do lose some visibility.
  7. Anyone have or seen a Smartcap with the bed scene lighting?

I had my bed lights on last night. Works great. There's a window that allows the (white) light in the third brake light to shine through. You can see it here: The lights in the bed, work fine.
  8. Fire extinguisher mount

Inside my Smartcap, does that work? (Probably not...) I used this bracket, and they are great. Perhaps that'll work somehow. (This page doesn't allow an Amazon link.) New Multi-Purpose Aluminum Adjustable Fire Extinguisher Holder Mount with 8 Clamps
  9. TRANSMISSION GOT STUCK IN SECOND GEAR ⚙️

How do you know what gear it was in?
  10. New member - Thinking of jumping from 3rd to 4th gen

It's the same thing. But verbalize Toyota's suggested price instead of the initials.
  11. New member - Thinking of jumping from 3rd to 4th gen

Remember what MSRP stands for while dickering. Don't use that term with the salesman; use "Toyota's suggested price" instead. Good luck.
  12. Rear power source for rear facing dash cam

If it were me, I'd use a tap-it connector in the engine bay fuse block, run it through the firewall, under the plastic below the doors, and up through the rear side pillar and headliner. If you look at Cali Raised YouTube ditch light video, they'll show you how to get the wire through the firewall.
  13. Cannot open the windows without engine re-start

Hit the big red button twice without your foot on the brake.
  14. New member - Thinking of jumping from 3rd to 4th gen

I traded in my 2016. I've got 5,000 on my new ride and think Toyota hit it out of the park. I've had all four generations of the Tacomas, each a step above the previous generation, but this one is much more than a step. It's yards above the third gens. I toyed with a hybrid, but didn't want...
  15. What center console screen protector do you have?

I too have the OCD Plug and like it.
  16. Gap between tailgate and back of bed. Trailhunter

I used this stuff along the bottom joint. This forum won't allow the Amazon link, but you can find it: "Yotache Open Cell Self-Adhesive Foam Seal Tape 1/2 X 1/4 Inch, Weather Stripping for Door Insulation, Soundproof, Weatherstrip," And some rubber D-shaped seal on the sides. It made a big...
  17. OEM air compressor accessory -- ARB single or dual compressor?

It's barely long enough to come from my battery location, so you'll have to lengthen it a bit. No big deal, it's not a fistful of wires.
