I honestly don't think so. Like if the CEL is triggered by something like an O2 sensor and I go in with my scanner, I'll see fault codes in the PCM, but not the VSC or ABS modules even though the lights are on. Toyota computers are weird. lol
As someone who has worked on a bunch of toyotas, they do tend to light up like a christmas tree when the CEL comes on. Older toyotas would throw the CEL, VSC, and Traction Contol lights all at the same time if the CEL was triggered. I'd imagine these new ones would do something similar, so it's...
My SR5 floats around 20-21 mpg. Had to drop it off at the dealership for some paint touchup and they gave me a TRD as a loaner and I noticed it's only averaging about 17 mpg.
I agree with everyone else, it's ultimately your choice. Just depends on your situation and preferences. Personally, I like the look of mine and don't have to deal with snow, so I'll be leaving it on.
Yeah. When I first got my truck, I assumed that was the toyota app the dealership just had me install. It took me a bit to figure that out. Kinda wish they would have put a home button on the side of the screen or something at least.
Not too much to say. My name is Chase and I'm from the Las Vegas/Henderson area. Just traded in my 2018 Chevy Equinox for a 2024 Tacoma SR5. It's my first brand new vehicle and the first truck I've owned. I've had it since the 1st and so far I love it.
