I'd agree, this is one of the main reasons I went with the 4th gen. I also came from a vehicle which for me having driven a '89 XJ, '93 Toyota Pickup, '07 JK had very comfortable seats - '23 Bronco with MGV the Tacoma has been excellent comfort wise.
I do wish, and this is probably my one...
250 miles, the local one kept finding ones with too many options, or options I flat out didn't want (Predator Steps). Ended up going to my hometown to get the options I wanted (14" screen) and not too many others (Bed Step, which is actually useful, lighted LED emblem, which is not, but...
I'm not at a year yet, 6 months/5k miles, but I'll add that the normal ICE TRD Off Road doesn't have ESS, which is a really nice addition by subtraction.
Other than that, the truck is smooth, zero issues, quiet, hauls gear and what not without issue.
I e-mailed Sensus when I got the truck and they said their Taco pad wouldn't work because the camera wouldn't line up but that they had a new model coming this year.
I've had the T3 on for 6 months now....well off and on. Mostly on. Two observations:
1. The black finish has already started to fade, not a big deal.
2. I have noticed some small scratches underneath, I probably let sand under and didn't have it tight enough, so completely user error, just...
Has anyone installed the Taco Vinyl Lower Bed Heritage Stripe? Anyone on a black TRD Off Road? I'm debating it. That's not mine, but I saw it on a FB group post and kinda like it.

Forgot to post back here. 3k miles in, I'm really enjoying it. A bit of me will probably want the Bronco back in the summer, but it's really nice to be able to throw stuff in the back without any issues. Not having sand flying around in the cab is an added bonus.
It rides a bit better than the...
First tank - break in period = 22.3 mpg (Stock TRD Off Road, non-hybrid, automatic).
Second and third = 20.2 mpg.
If I get 20 I'm happy, the first tank was mostly all under 70 mph, second and third a mix. Little to no cruise control, mostly flat, 87 octane. I've always beat stated MPG but...
Other than the debate between F-150 and Tacoma you sound like me. I've gotten the hardcore 4-wheeling out of my system with Jeeps and then a Bronco. Mountain Biking cured that itch a bit, so I just switched to a 2025 TRD Off Road for the same rationale as you, crappy roads/forest roads, etc...
I'm looking for a TRD Off Road - Black or Underground with a MT in the Southeast, base model. I'd like to get it to $41-$42k depending on added options (really the only thing I want is a 14" screen).
I'm actually debating this used one, it's the color and trim I want. I don't really care about the Upgrade package, but I do like the larger screen. My main issue is the fender bender and mileage, trying to get it to $35k otd with 7y/100k Gold Certified, and maybe a set of tires thrown in...
Yeah I'm looking too, I'll tell you avoid the JL manual if at all possible. The clutch is vague, the gearing (at least on the Rubicon) feels off, and I had the recall which has caused nothing but issues for one of my friends with one (limp mode intermittently). I sold mine to Carvana for more...
Hey, I have a Bronco 2 door and love the manual in it. I removed the back seats (just wife and I along with 2 dogs) to carry stuff along with a bike rack and roof rack (factory). I'm debating the Tacoma, how does the manual compare to the Bronco?
It's difficult at best to find one on the east...
Looks like the MSRP only went up about $300 on the TRD Off Road based on this build and comparing to the B&P for the 2025: https://smartpath.toyota.com/inventory/details?source=t1&dealerCd=45100&vin=3TMLB5JNXTM46D008&type=new
Yeah, never negotitate in person. The only times I go to a dealer is to buy one or to test drive a new model, and I make it clear all I want to do is test drive and then research. If they don't like it, tough sh%t, I've had better than expected luck with my local dealer, but.......I'm just...
Yeah, I kinda like that color in the 4Runner, I'm not sure on the Tacoma. Solar Octane was my pick, but......I waffled back and forth on keeping my Bronco vs a Tacoma in 2024. May just wait it out.
