Wow, a plastic or composite bed. I did not know that. Seems inappropriate. Looks like the whole thing is plastic. Thanks for letting me know.
The "base" plastic is "shiny"/slick. Bedliner is adding texture. It's very textured. But most pros come with it - tack on. But I put OEM rubber bed mat in it anyway. Btw, the new rubber bed mat is very tacky/sticky rubber compared to 3rd gen. I was surprised.

Nope, but its heavy enough that it wont fly away. It also fits the contour of the bed pretty well; its not going anywhere. I have both the factory spray in bedliner, and I also bought the factory bed mat. It keeps stuff from sliding around.
